Harley Street Rod 750

The cheap & cheesy stuff was designed for India and is built there for that market, to avoid tariffs. US bikes are built in Kansas City. This motor is rumored to be the replacement to XR750, so this remake is testing the consumer market for acceptance?

No rumor. The factory HD team has expanded to three riders and is only racing a modified version of the XG this season. Privateers can buy that engine (assembled in KC) and at least one team has done so. Many will still run the XR but fewer and fewer with the Kawi being so fast and cheap to maintain.

For a decade I've wanted that FTR with lights and a front brake, please Indian, street version for 10k with adjustable suspension!

...I was a big fan of the XR1200X, but couldn't pull the trigger due to the small gas tank and tank swelling issues...
Ditto.
...The thing that struck me is the end bar mirrors, how small they were, and how notorious end bar mirrors are for the susceptibility to vibration...
They are tight and beefy, very clear and a good view.

This is an old thread but what the heck. I bought one, it's a great bike. The clutch is a little grabby and the bike runs out of power pretty soon but it runs and sounds great and handles very well. It probably goes all to hell at 10/10ths but romping the canyons is a blast at a comfortable pace. I'm glad I bought it and will probably keep it a long time. It really is fun to ride.

I’m taking 2018 Street Bob for a ride on Sunday!
