yes, anyone who says they have not heard a BARF member say they would ride it just wasn't paying attention. :laughing :angel

SF to LA, sure.

Even SF to Vegas I could see some of you trying it.

But the route available in six years?

I might do it once, just to see what it’s like. Otherwise I’d fly.

No desire to ride it. All destinations, even after it’s 100% complete are of zero interest to me.

You will have to drive to SF and find a place to park. Then wait around for the train to depart. And then it will travel at normal train speeds until it gets to the high speed sections of track out in the central valley. And you may be required to make a train switch as well. Then it will be 200 mph for the very short distance to Merced.

Not worth the trouble.

Come on now...I can't talk you into a weekend trip to Bakersfield in August for $300 RT?

Why would I have to drive to SF and Park? ;)

I assume you just take the N-Judah or T-Taraval to the Bullet train Station downtown?

As i recall, the journey started in Santa Rosa and I’m not aware of any public transit between Santa Rosa and SF other than buses.

You can take a Sonoma County train to the Larkspur Ferry. It isn't very practical though. Main Value of the Bullet Train is letting San Jose and San Francisco Commute to L.A. for work cheaply and vice versa.

Who cares what is happening out in the sticks?

Sounds like a three+ hour commute just one way. Over 6 hours a day commuting. It will never sell.

Lots and lots of people commute from Sacramento to SF (I did it for 6 months for a contract) and given the traffic it can be 3 hours each way. So I wouldn’t say LA<->Sf won’t happen. However people with that kind of job are already flying and probably don’t want to be on a train because it will take longer.
