Hot Springs Swing: 2500 Miles Of Nevada Dirt

Wow Tami. I was so impressed by this ride report that I had to dig up my dusty old BARF logon so I could say, "Where the heck is the pic of the map you promised"?

Seriously, great report. Must add Northern Nevada to my bucket list. :ride

Thanks, Joe! I'm pretty stoked about the Atomic-Moto thing.
Winning is always good :party

As far as the overall map goes, that is Eric's department! I took a few photos of the map pages and they didn't turn out all that great. A lot of the detail is lost, but this is what it the individual pages look like…

I really should just ante up for a modern GPS (the one we have is about 10 years old and has no maps loaded into it) and then pay someone to show me how to use it. The thought kind of makes me unhappy, though…:(

Hey Joe,

The water's fine
over here in the
BARF Adventure Riding sub-forum! :party

... I just spent half-an-hour looking at
the map pic you posted ... :ride
... camped at Moon Rocks
and Pyramid Lake over the years ... :afm199
... pics-of-paper-maps do just sort of
wind up being another bread-crumb ... :thumbup

I think for Christmas
I'll ante up and give my
wife a fancy GPS so SHE can pay someone
else to show her
how to use it ... :laughing

see you around
the campfire,

Looked in my email today to find your screen name as Atomic-Moto WINNER! Great business to support, and that is really wonderful of them to show appreciation for all the hard work that goes into a ride report.

Now, how's about you just lead another ride like this and John, Aaron, myself and a few other folks follow you around like a bunch of lost ducklings? Drive you crazy asking questions, coming to find us when we take the wrong turn, complain that it is too hot, I've got to stop to pee... etc.

Or just fess up the route and we can get lost on our own!

I volunteer to help anyone with their GPS.
