I LoVE how people go off about LEO driving trainning like their formula car rivers for christ sake and everyone else on the planet can't drive for shit. LOVE to see a LEO and all his driving training outdrive the WORST star Mazda driver. Please. Cops aren't the only ones who recieve driving trainning. I guess that perp in Anticoh last year was the better driver during a police chase. He made the corner, the LEO plowed into the house.......

And no, I don't want to carry a gun, or arrest and take people to jail (although I wish I could for a couple) thats YOUR job. Mine is workin on cool machines :smile. HOWEVER I do feel that LAW should be applicible to both LEO and civilian. Who knows maybe if I ever had agoood convo with a decent LEO some of my views would chage

FTR: I think that LEO's should have a different set of rules (seatbelts, weapons, pursuit....) I only posted because I thought it was a situation where LEO's were NOT exempt from it, just like if they are speeding and not on a call they are subject to speeding tickets. I've even heard rumors of our local STRICT officer ticketing CHP when they are driving too fast on city street and not in a pursuit.

I never meant to start this kinda thing...I guess my thread title was a bit more aggressive than the actual point I was trying to make....carry on. DAMPER, deep breaths, getting too hot about this. Almost every LEO I have ever met has been super cool, fun, some even used to meet up with us at the races at Infineon....every once in a while you find a LEO that has a huge ego, loves agravating anyone who they come in conact with, seem to have god-complexes.....JUST LIKE EVERY SEGMENT OF SOCIETY!!! I work in a motorcycle shop...ever had a really good experience in one and fee like you got shit on at another? That was not because people were LEO's, it is because people were douchbags. One bad cop spoils the whole bunch...that is my experience anyways....they don't always deserve it. Any LEO's on this thread, please make note of this statement above my frustrations with cellphone-officer this AM....ya know, just in case you pull me over someday:teeth

No blame to the officers here, but there is one thing I don't understand here.

Why don't departments buy a blue tooth for each squad car? An officer has to pay attention to a lot of things. Surely having that cell phone hand free would allow him to drive better, free up some of his attention.

I notice I drive better with a blue tooth than holding a phone in my hand. Police officers are human too, I am sure the same goes for them.
