Insurance $4000 quote?!?

There is no single cheap insurance company. Each one has their own rating system where they decide which segment of the market they want to go after and handicap risk groups - age, driving record, type of vehicle, where you live, and so on differently.

The point being, you have to shop 'em all.

theydon't Hate 24 yr olds, its just that statistically, 24yr old ride and drive fast and consequently, crash alot. Therefore, since they pay out more frequently for insuring 24 yr olds, the insurance companies charge 24 yr olds a higher premium!

they could just make a flat rate for everyone, $1750/yr - no matter your age, driving record, number of past claims, or type and cc
bike you ride...

that would be so awesome!!:twofinger
:twofinger I'm 24 and have had injury accidents at 21, 22, 23, and 24. It isn't just 24 year olds...

Yes, that is exactly what they think and what their statistics tell them about 24 year olds with 2 years experience riding 600cc supersports.

I'm 47 with 30 years of street riding experience and GEICO is the cheapest insurance I could find. And I know from experience that their claims department is fantastic. So is Progressive for that matter, though their moto insurance is too expensive in CA now IMO.

Exactly...And the youngens even buying a 600, inspite of the fact the insurance companies see nothing but red flags flapping...speaks volumes.

Hardy Har Har Har...Adults are not going to pay for whippersnappers.

They don't have to, and they won't.

(or were you being sarcastic?)

have you tried progressive? i recall doing a geico quote and it was redonkulous, and then did a progressive quote and it was a lot lot lot cheaper.

You guys are getting fucked.
seriously.

riding for 5mo. i was also 24yr when i bought insurance & bike. did my MSF course in Jan. bought state minimums for $113yr with GEICO! :wtf

straight from their website. lady called the next morning to get some more info on the title and ask for a fax of the MSF certificate.

I've got...a teensy bit of a record and comprehensive with a low deductible from progressive for me is $1900 per year on a 2003 SV650, liability-only is $600 per year.

I'm 23, male, and stupid as hell.

I have a question, sorry for thread-jacking. If I have a $5,000 medical payment on my bike insurance policy, and then health insurance with a $5,000 deductible... and I need medical attention after a crash, would I not have to pay for anything? Say the bill is $20,000 or something, would the auto policy cover the first $5,000, and then the health insurance the rest? Thanks in advance.
