*Liam's Wild Ride*

I was watching from a nice little pub here in Copenhagen and I think I surprised a few folks by shouting out when I did a bit of Liam spotting after the race. :p

Kudos man, awesome stuff. :applause :cool :thumbup

And Jim, I saw Colin throw the shocker and thought "WTF? Did he just 'shock' the world?" :laughing

Another Liamspotting image... from crash.net :teeth

I hope Liam can read Italian, because he's the suck at speaking it. :D

Nevertheless, I grasp your concept, and embrace it fully. The part about the hooker was especially keen.

:cool stuff, Liam.

Do a shout out to your boy, Barros, and that BARF says, CONGRATS! on his finish :applause :applause

I, for one, really enjoyed watching this race.......a lot of trading places :thumbup

Thank you everyone, for the comments and support. I don't really have time at the moment to get into everything that took place at Mugello, suffice it to say that the smell of Champagne in the air spraying from the Podium will stay with me forever, and the feelings I went through are absolutely priceless. Things really didn't sink in until the next day, as we were driving from Mugello through the Tuscan hills enroute to Bologna. As I went through various memories, recounted some of the adventures I've been through - just to get to this point - I couldn't help but tear up sporadically. The emotions were that strong, and I hope they always remain as strong, because I never want to forget that on this day, this one Sunday in Italy, I helped put my Satellite Ducati on the box and scored my very first podium at my anniversary race working in MotoGP. This is real life, my life, and I'm very happy that you're all here to share it with me.

I should have some more time to get into it after the Team dinner we're having in the city tonight. Catch up with you guys soon!

:applause :applause Awesome, Liam. Thanks so much for sharing your adventure with us back here. It's great to see a 'black sheep squadron' rider get on the box and know that a BARFer helped put him there. I think I speak for everyone here when I say we're all really proud of you and here's hoping it keeps getting better! Onward and upward, man. :thumbup

Nice new avatar, btw.

Thanks USARM! I only have a quick minute left before I have to go, so to share something extra special (and not completely work safe) here is a very, very special moment in time that I captured in Italy this past weekend. Someone mentioned they saw an ad for my Pramac Hardpack in Cycle World this past month (someone, post a photo of the Magazine Ad for me), but I think I've got a little something more exciting than that, hahaha.

NOT WORK SAFE, 18 and OVER, ONLY!

ITALY ROCKS!

Thongs a LOT!

Now I have a new desk top! Did she buy that off the Moto Liam site or did you just let her have it for free because she's your girl? Be honest. You gave it to her didn't you? For free. Yeah... we knew you were a softy.

I don't remember if it was this race or the last, it may have been France actually, where I picked Alex to finish in the top three (to win I think, but I did post it). Never count Barros out of anything! Outside of Sete or Max, I believe he's beaten Vale head to head more times than anyone and possibly quivalent to the first two over combined seasons. He just needs to string them together in the same season. I'd like nothing better than to see Alex win three of four of these, with a climactic win in Portugal, where's he's won before, and then take the title in Oz, in front of Rossi's crew and chief as well as Stoner And Vermin. It would be the equivalent of watching Dale Earnhardt Sr. sneak in that Daytona victory after everyone had written that race off for him as a "non-winner".

For now, it appears he has the bike to do it. Liam would know how the politics of the (newest works) pieces get doled out as he's in it and understandably, they'll go to Stoner or Loris (who I'd also like to see win given that I'm over 40) but we'll see. I've got to get over to the Liam Site and get some SWAG. Anything on your site with Alex/MotoLiam on it? That'd be a nice combo and would go far toward replacing my Rio version of West/Honda/Pons/Barros shirt that I just gave to a Brazilian girlfriend (six years later, I part with it, for the right reason :teeth )

There was a great back and forth between Toby and Julian on the Eurosport coverage. When Barros was right behind Stoner, they were talking about team politics. Do you think there will be an issue with Barros finishing ahead of Stoner? Well they might have a 150 hp motor the rest of the year. On the other hand Barros' mechanics will show up for the rest of the year!

Best motorsport commentators, PERIOD!

Liam,

Cool meeting up with you at Mugello and thanks for the behind the scenes tour.

Here's a couple shots I took during my stay at Mugello

I agree, though I prefer Keith Huewen to work with Julian the most. Watch the old Duke GP videos from early '90's or the Isle of Mann ones and you'll see. I agree. Anything with Ryder working on it is a step above. I have to concede, Nick and Mark are doing much better on the Moto GP web casts though. It's nice when someone can crack a joke now and then or put a rider in his place or make a comment about a team owner. Something to stir the pot.
