*Liam's Wild Ride*

On Saturday afternoon after practice and QP is over, there will be a free concert at the Yamaha stage with Hoobastank, and Edwards will do his usual giveaways.

Why not do the get-together AT the track, that way no one has to deal with getting out, getting ready and getting together in the madness that is the USGP. You're already *there*. Make it simple. Someone has to have an RV, and can step up and stock up some supplies (with mucho healthy donations before the fact) to host a righteous MotoLiam party, no?

This is best on all fronts because Liam can't know when he can really leave the track. Bike down in QP? Blown motor? Mixed conditions predicted for Raceday?

People. Make It Happen. Did BARF forget how to Party? Hell. We may need to feed the whole Pramac Team...

I'll be going down to Laguna Seca with some friends from Chicago for the MotoGP race. :)

I'm staying a few extra days to see friends/family and HOPEFULLY have some interviews for jerbs because I NEED to move out there and finally escape the midwest. :p

I hope to meet some BARF'ers that weekend. :)

Having it at the track would be a pain for those of us who have m-f jobs though. Other than that, I think it would be a lot more convenient. Not to mention the fact that the Euro fans do it that way as well.

GP Time: Since no one got the LV Jail question right, I'll just move right along with this photo i saw on Soup. What are the benefits of moving the axle point to the furthest position on the Swingarm for the Catalunya race on Valentino's M1?
Donnington 'is dominated by fast sweeping corners' which means that stability in high speed corners is more important than fast direction changes, so they are going to want to make the bike's wheelbase longer.

While this is true, I think what we're seeing is a compromise between chain force under acceleration and the desire to make the bike more stable under braking.

Everyone, thank you for the suggestions. I am likely to do both, because for me, Laguna Seca is B-I-G. I am going to eschew the madness that is Cannery Row, and opt for a quieter beer and pizza joint. If I recall, Giovanni's, or whatever it's called, could be just the ticket. That would be for Friday, round about 10ish, and I should have something cool in store for you all that night. Saturday night I want to hang around the racetrack a little bit through the evening, so a gathering at a campsite area could also be just the ticket, hahaha. Been a long time since I had "real" BBQ food, and the night before a race it's always a good idea for me to play it close to the chest and take it a little easy.

Oh! I know there are a couple hot Barfettes out there (more likely you guys will know cute girls who don't ride :p ), but I'm officially starting my "look-out for grid girls, USGP07". This means that I will backtrack through my emails for photos of the girls who contacted me last year, and also be waiting for photos of new girls who are coming to the race this year. It's not really a high-priority for me, as I have a ton of other stuff to handle, but if anyone knows someone who fits the bill, please let me know. This means whoever I pick gets to spend some time with the team over the weekend and see the race from the starting line. Last year's girls were great - should I just repeat?

I hate MotoGP. We should have a bunch of female riders in there... so experts like Liam could pick hot young studs like me to hang out with the team and get a closer look at things. *sigh*

hey liam, saturday nite bbq in the workers camping area? it's in the track area, close to home, and last year, we cooked up and drank enough beer to sink a ship. not that you have to, but just a thought? ;) and I think there will be lots of barfers working the races.

great reads as always, and photos. good luck.

Liam,

My invite still stand and hope that you can take some time out and hang with my buddies and I :Port We'll be camping at fence line near T-9 (near the bridge).

The Aloha theme should make you feel at home, brah :teeth

Heck, last year, we even had the Buell Guys (not that that matters :p) come and hang out with us. Nothing short of wicked fun times

Just look for the.....

Shoot, the invite is extended to any Barf members too. Always great to see familiar faces and meeting new peeps ;)

Keep in mind, I am the only Barfer outta the bunch. However, the guys I hang with love to party and welcome good company ;)

just ONE woman?!
I am sure the best way to have the honored Liam's company is to promise the presence of more women... or else he would be looking at other avenues ;)

It's sad I can't be at Laguna this year. However, I am targeting atleast 3 GPs next year, one in each continent.

........

LOL

I didn't want to bastardize Liam's thread with a bunch of pix of drunken peoples. I am sure he sees enough of that already (lol)

Fwiw, Saturday eve was f00kin' :loco lot's of drunk peoples, and quite a few women. Many stories, but i've done enough bastardizing to Liam's thread already :p

The invite would be a great opportunity for any Barfers camping out, and or Liam, to hook up, hang a bit with good company, and of coarse :Port

Even if you don't want to hang out, would be cool just meeting/seeing some fellow Barfers ;)

So I went to the Day Of Champions today at Donnington and looked for Liam, he wasn't here......
