*Liam's Wild Ride*

P.P.S. just caught the Yamaha/Rossi Ohlins tech downstairs at my hotel. "Are you guys using electronically assisted/active suspension?"

"I can't comment on anything."
:laughing

"Oh yeah! C'mon, I'll show you the whole setup!"

'nuther dimension, maybe.

See ya in a few, Sir. :thumbup

Liam,

I heard something about the temporary curbing being made out of aluminum and some possible grip issues. Any views on those yet?

Apparently there are 4 different asphalt types we'll be going over this weekend. 4 different grip levels and surface types. Grrrr-eat.

yeah um, good luck with that! :wow

Quote MotoLiam: "There's a curb. I checked".

We'll see........

Okay.......I've never CW'd the "Screw" or done track days there (let alone any other track)......but

Someone mentioned semantics.....well at the very least our collective "perceptions" differ along with our "descriptions" of the strips and their "interface" with the dirt area.

First of all...the definition of a "curb": After checking various sources as to the definition of a curb.....I find that the "raised edge" of the strip could be construed as a "curb". I won't belabor THAT argument....except to say that the edge of the strip we're calling a curb....varies in height from essentially level with the dirt to a definitively "raised" section at the front of the "step". One couldn't call the part that is level with the dirt a "curb" as the definition doesn't apply.

Also.....Vale re-entered the track at a low aspect angle (20 percent at most)to the strip or curb......and also at a very slow speed. The likelyhood of his doing damage at the speed and angle to the rim/tire was nil. I agree that it was more amazing that he kept it on two wheels more than anything else!

So from various set-up pics I've just realized that the Alice Team garage is in-between Repsol Honda and Factory Corse. Liam should hear all sorts of interesting things this weekend. :D

Sign of the times

I saw the Indianapolis street signs that have gone up in celebration of the MotoGP coming to town, but thought the organisers missed a trick by leaving this one out...
