*Liam's Wild Ride*

Not sure how many people will find this interesting, but I was speaking with a friend yesterday who was out riding Super-Moto with Ruben Xaus on Sunday at a kart track south of BCN. Ruben put in a full day riding . . . . despite two wicked get-offs. All this with a still-broken leg. lovin' it :thumbup! I'll see if I can get ahold of some photos.

Ruben is double super hard as nails.

Quality rider too.

Love to see him back on top when he's fit again, how awesome have his rides been this year already, given the circumstances!

Euro Low-rider

Factory tuned suspension. I still notice oddball cars and bikes, but they are definitely becoming more commonplace to me and I don't whip the camera out as often as I should. I always thought this particular car was strange-looking (I've seen them before), and now that I have watched a documentary on Citroen, I kinda like them. Really goofy designs, headlights that turned when you did (forty years ago!), and it's French - what more can you say?!?

Spent some time at the train station sorting things out, and I have to say. . . . . it was S.L.O.W. going. Right up there with the California DMV. If any of you guys work at the DMV, please commit hari-kiri now.

Man, I am pumped for the races this weekend! Next week we should have a lot more answers about the season ahead, and personally, I can't wait!

Any Sebastian Porto fans lurking around here?

P.S. I like how the clock looks angry, like it's laughing at me. Mierda!

I love traveling by train, but I know what you mean by waiting for stuff to get sorted out (no pun!).

How is your language skills coming along?
Have you ever started questioning yourself when it comes to pronouncing b's and v's? That's something I would probably manage to do, so that even when not speaking Spanish I would get b/v issues.

Since there's no Super Aguri in Moto GP, could you cheer a little bit for whomever is last in the race for me? I have a thing for the überunderdogs.

Remember to enjoy yourself now. And take lots of pics. :D

Sound files of the new Suzuki???

Hi Liam,
I'm a long time lurker and I have been enjoying your posts tremendously. I heard your latest podcast interview on Motogpod in which you mentioned that you had some sound files of the fabulous music coming out of the new Suzuki GP bike. Any chance you could post a wav file for us?

Thanks in advance if you can do this.

Wasn't Katjia in AMA for a couple rounds not that long ago? Or maybe it was just testing. I seem to remember someone I knew mentioning her going blitzing past them...

How 'bout yours?

Couldn't resist. :twofinger

Granted English is not my mother tongue, sometimes I make typos much like everyone else, but other than that I speak 5 languages, while understanding a great deal of 3 more and 4 sets of alphabets. But thanks for asking.

:)

Hi pvjim,

I'm working on ripping the audio from the mpegs that I have. I don't have a good digital audio recorder yet so I use my handheld Sony DSC camera to get my sound bites with, but I have to admit, it does a great job! Dorna won't let the video clips I have out, so that's why I'll only be able to post the audio. As soon as I figure out how to do this right, I'll give you guys some sound. In the meantime, get your TV's warmed up for the races!

NOOOOOO, I got to the end of this thread:cry

But I´m glad that I found it!

Hey Liam, this is a great story and adventure that your out on and I´m very impressed of what you have managed to do in this short period of time!

I don´t really remember how I found this thread but I can tell you that there are people i Sweden whos reading this thread.
If you plan a trip to Stockholm sometime don´t hesitate to mail me and I´ll hook you up for a place to stay and will take you to Öhlins factory here in town:thumbup

Btw, we have a store called Garys American Foodstore send me an mail if there is something I can get for you. I´ll pick it up and send it to you, its easier to send things from Sweden to Spain then from the States.

I´m looking forward to read more from you after this weekend!

Take Care and have a blast this weekend!:banana

Best regards!
Danny

Extracting MP3s

Liam,

Take the video clips into iMovie and extract the audio into a file, and then convert it to MP3 with iTunes.

Simple.

Have Bob get an iRiver 795-799 and a giant squidy mic (like a small lavalier mic) Small, discreet and good audio quality. There are a number of podcast that use these and they sound pretty good.

I can't belive Rubens, Whilst I love his passion for life and it's kind of great to see that after the year he's had he's still got it, but doesn't he owe the people who trusted him the same respect?

Yes its great to hear he's having fun but if he can't perform to his best whats he got the ride for? On his day Rubens Kicks ass but mainly he seems to prefer the kitty litter.

I guess what i'm trying to say is get it together Rubens.

That is Katja Poegenson or something like that. Not a bad racer. Qualified on the top 15 a few times on a privateer bike in 250GP. She was part of the Alstare team for a couple years running in the 1000 Superstock class. Not sure what she's upto these days.
