Loudest/Growliest 2012 Kawasaki Ninja 650R exhaust

If D&D makes a pipe for it, that's probably your best bet.

And you want the growliest/loudest exhaust out there on your 650r because?. You want to annoy your neighbors and everyone else you happen to ride by?. Call attention to law enforcement as you ride by?. Further the stereotype that motorcyclists are a bunch of law breaking citizens?. Want to fit in with a bunch of others who have loud exhaust?. Think that respect from other riders is about having loudest exhaust out there?.

If it is respect and acceptance you desire, learning to become a better rider is the best way to do it. Oh, instead of wasting your money on making your bike loud buy some better suspension.

This! :thumbup

Noisy exhausts suck.

Thanks to all who focused on the question.....to those only, any brand suggestions that go best with the 2012 650?

Rezaiy specializes in kawasaki exhaust systems that many regard as the best available for sound and power.

Oh I dunno about all that... :ride

While Logan is an impressive rider, those 250s sound like crap. Watch 250 prod/SBK at an AFM weekend and you'll see my point.

If you have to go that route, get an LV or Arrow with the baffle in. They're not cheap crap, and they're the least obnoxious noise-wise on that bike. As long as you keep the dizam baffle in.

If D&D makes a pipe for it, that's probably your best bet.

:thumbup As long as you like painfully loud. And enjoy either wearing earplugs all the time or going deaf.

I got rid of some D&D's for those very reasons.

No no, get the loudest most obnoxious exhaust you can find like you're asking for.

When you start getting pulled over and get fix it tickets don't say we didn't warn you.

When your neighbors start calling the cops on you, don't say we didn't warn you.

When your neighbors start lighting bags of shit and putting in on your front step, don't say we didn't warn you

When your fellow motorcyclists start calling you a fag don't say we didn't warn you.

When you crash and get road rash because you spent money on a loud pipe that saves lives :rolleyes rather than some gear, don't say we didn't warn you

Oh... and a loud pipe without the accompanying intake and engine tune usually causes you to LOSE power. So... kthxbai.

O.p. next time your in a cage have the windows up and nothing on but maybe the a/c. And every time a bike passes you especially an HD ask yourself if you heard it before it was beside you. I bet the answer will be no. Loud pipes do not save lives all they do is piss off the general public. Yeah I ride an HD but my exhaust is actually quieter than the stock one

Ummm, ever heard a Norton with Dunstall reverse cone mufflers?
Or even a nice old Triumph? They sound fantastic imho. Both parallel twins..
DT

:thumbup Everything went to hell when the new engines arrived though. :laughing

(You know, when bore-stroke ratio's changed, Cam specs changed, everything changed)

How'd you do that?? A muffler off a '57 Buick? :twofinger

Went with a Hooker 2 into 1 tuned flow setup which was pretty quiet and good for torque. But after years of to many sharp right turns I ruined the muffler and hooker does not make that muffler anymore so I went with a supertrapp muffler. It works fine and I don't wake the neighbors rattle windows or set off car alarms. Want a loud exhaust fix go an N.H.R.A. drag racing event.

I went with a hooker once. She rode pretty nice.

360 degree parallel twins can and do sound great with little help. Other configurations-not so much. That being said you have a great bike which will be worth a lot more the closer to stock you leave it.

Focus n the question being asked, ! So what if he wants the loudest meanest exhaust, thats his choice not yours. Keep looking on that exhaust bro.

Why do you hate motorcycling?

:rofl

Maybe make sure you pick up an exhaust that comes with an insert to kill the noise when you finally realize that it's a pain in the ass having a loud exhaust. My street bike is a Ducati Sport 1000 with a loud-ass Termignoni, and most days I just feel like a huge douchebag. Setting off car alarms, waking up your neighbors, drawing LEO's attention like chum in the water --- it all gets old pretty fast. There's some good advice here about where to spend your money; sort out your suspension, get good gear, and become a better rider. You'll have more fun with that than with a super loud exhaust. Real talk.

It's his choice, but it's a choice that affects us all. Dumbasses with loud exhausts turn public opinion against motorcycles. Do you REALLY want regulations that prevent you from making any modifications to motorcycles? Because that has already been proposed. And if a sufficient number of idiots piss off the public enough, those laws will get passed. Loud pipes lose rights.

Lots of anti-exhaust regs have failed. Next step will probably make it illegal to sell after-market pipes in CA. Which would fuck the people who have a legitimate use for em (racers.)

These laws have not only been proposed, they have passed. Its required law now that bikes built after Jan 1, 2013 have an EPA-labeled exhaust on CA roads.
