McRib is returning!

How long is it gonna be around anyway?

Probably a matter of days now. It only comes back around for a month or so when it does.

And you all know how it’s gonna be at my house when that day comes....

If it weren't for the car knowledge he'd already be on ignore for the mcrib stuff
:rofl

I had my first one (that I can remember) last week. Felt like I was sneaking it :later Got it in Antioch on the way home from dropping gifts off in Brentwood. It was over-sauced IMO which made it hard to one-hand it and drive. The pickles and onions are a nice bite against the sweetness. With so much good BBQ around here, this is a nice once-and-a-while but left me craving better BBQ. But... i did like it...

Everything he learned about cars was just to make sure that he could fix any vehicle necessary in order to reach the McRibs when they are available. He is unstoppable.

You should see the car I just worked on. It goes 0-McRib so absurdly fast, cars like this should probably be illegal to have.

28* now.

Grilled onions wouldn't have the bite necessary to overcome the sweetness of the sauce. Raw is better in this case. As for pickles, well, pickles are ALWAYS okay with me. Love me some vinegar flavor! :drool

Grilled onions are always better, no matter the burger/sandwich.

Pickles be gross, yo.

Not always, in the case of this sandwich, I think the raw onions did what they were supposed to and it worked.

I will get a second one today to confirm. This will be my confirmation exam that the sandwich is actually tasty and I wasn't just hungry last time.

nahhhhhh. No raw onions for me, man. Unless it's a sweet onion, I can work with that. And even then, grilling them up is preferred.

I will go and get my final McRib of the year for lunch today as well.

It is with a sense of irony that I note this thread is going to last longer than the McRib availability.

The French are onto something. Make a great sauce and even mediocre meat becomes attractive. Considering the meat in the McRib is pressure steamed to nothingness. . .I could put that sauce/pickle/white bread bun around a slab of tofu and get the same texture and culinary experience.

Somewhere, Ray Kroc is amused.

I admire Rob’s competitive spirit, he started lapping us on December 2 and has continued a consistent McPace.:hail

I went and did it. It was still tasty.

As much as I am not much of a raw onion guy, I think the flavor and texture provided is an important part of the equation. These are not better caramelized.

AND YOU WERE CHALLENGING ME.
