Mid-Engine Corvette spy shots

Yes.

It takes the fun out of it if you can't actually go anything with it, even if said thing is short weekend trips with room for luggage, golfing, snagging groceries.

Passengers don't appreciate having everything stacked around them.

So you buy a high-ish end performance car, say $150K, and there's room for a golf bag and a gym bag, but actually you'd prefer to have room for 2-3 suitcases like the boot of an Accord?

Out of curiosity, where you do put one on your motorcycle? :laughing

I once carried 3 pizzas on my moto riding 2 up with my buddy holding the pizzas behind me.
Can't begin to imagine carrying that big ass plank!

Did take a moto tire to the mechanic once by putting it over me and wearing it all the way there..

Do you want a "Sports Car" w/o compromise, or a "Gran Touring" car?

I guess so. I already find it silly car companies trying to cater to every little segment of the market, like from the 1 series to the 7 series to the X1 to the X5 and the crossovers and whatnot. Do something you're good at, and so be it. But that's just me. And from the buyer's POV, why buy the twin turbo V8 sports car, and then leaden the car with four doors, nav, electric seats, engine noise enhancing system, 12 cup holders, etc? Again, that's just me.

I said nothing about my preferences.
Sorry, misread your post.

How does that saying goes again, "when stupidity outpaces skills, blame the car", or something like that?

Yeahhh, but the corvette has issues.. :laughing

I got hit by a C5 corvette, which I assume was trying to race me, when it was damp out on the freeway.. It broke loose as soon as he hit the gas, did a little dance, and smacked into the driver's side of my car. Then he landed in a ditch..
His name was Chu Chu. No bullshit.
Damn corvettes and their traction issues..

So we're in agreement the Vette is far from being a true performance car. :thumbup

Man, that accident must've been scary! Yikes!

Well I mean it IS a performance car.. How good of a performance car is the question..

I think the higher up models like the Z06 and ZR1 fixed some of the issues.. especially the newer ones..

But those C5's were bad. They all, go waaaay left then waaaaay right (into me)
:laughing

I'm going to hold you to your uninformed claim that the Corvette "is far from being a true performance car." Let's break down your claim to ensure that we are comparing apple to apples.

What is your definition of performance?
What is your definition of true performance?
What are you using as the basis of your opinion?
Do you have any first hand knowledge or experience in a Corvette built after 2006?

I saw a ZX10 crash once. They must be pieces of crap.

Argument fail.
