And we will support, respect and participate in BARF in spite of you and those who think like you. BARF is something bigger than a bunch of people riding motorized 2 or 3 wheel cycles. It's a teeny tiny microscopic part of the Internet which is greater than all of us, BARF, and cycling combined. And freedom to express yourself, other than in a private club, is revered and guarded like gold. So first respect the Internet and all of us who participate, for good or bad because it's all of our right. Then take minute and respect all BARF participants and their right to freedom of expression without threat of repression and censorship.

If you can provide me any reliable reference that prove your assertion that what we represent and what BARF represents clash, I will gladly tip my hat to you and shut the fuck up on this subject from now on. I will then delete myself from the BARF community immediately and completely. Who wants to hang around with trolls anyway?

Everything totally went over your head. I pointing out the conflicting ideologies. One of your 'members' was defining misfits as the group that are simply that, misfits; not part of the norm; etc. If I was in a group named misfits, I wouldn't want to generalize/associate with the most popular motorcycle forum probably in all the internet. Kinda defeats the purpose of being called misfits right? I'm just going by what I've read and how some of you misfits have described the group lol. :dunno

Stopped reading around page 9, Tin Cup is on TV and between that and my pizza I'm much more entertained. But to put my $0.02 in....

Just because you CAN do something doesn't mean you should. Not trying to go against Budman's word or anything, but let's put something into perspective a bit. Let's say you work at Google and ask the CEO if you can put the Google logo on your motorcycle because you ride around with a bunch of your co-workers all the time, and want to call yourself "Google's Misfits". CEO says "I don't give a fuck, go for it." Does the opinion of all your other co-workers mean nothing? Be it the ones you like, the ones you know, or not, they're weighing in. And the majority is saying keep the patches separate. My $0.02? Separate patches. One that says BARF, one that says "Koi's Misfits" (if I read correctly, that was the name your group gave itself. Not BARF's Misfits As Led By Koi). Or just get the patch that says "Koi's Misfits" but leave BARF off of it. It's cool that you're proud to be a part of this website and everything, but as already stated you guys apparently rock BARF gear to begin with (license plates, stickers, etc). Do you really need to combine it into another logo? I don't think so.

edit - As far as misfits go...I'm pretty sure 99% of you mofos on this forum are misfits and I don't mean Koi's Misfits. At least, none of the ones I met have been normal, upstanding members of society :laughing :twofinger. How far beyond the norm do you have to be to be considered a BARF misfit? :rofl

With Budmans approval, I don't see how this thread got to this point. If ya have 1 post or 10000, your opinion isn't worth any more or less.

This just makes the BARF community look bad. Really.

I thought we were all here to ride, meet people and enjoy a common passion, hobby or new found toy... motorcycles.

I have BARF stickers and plate frame on my bike, I don't give two cents if someone makes a new sticker or patch for their group on/with BARF. (With Budmans permission) Who cares, im not offended. How many posted in this thread, never to have donated to BARF? You took offense to this like the site is you life...why not put your wallet where your keyboard is?

Just dissapointing to read most of this.... opinions are one thing, but fighting over something that has no direct consequence for you....just being a fool.

OP, why not just start your own MC or RC or whatever? There are plenty of MCs represented here by individual members. None of them feel the need to co-opt the BARF name. :dunno

If you feel the need to distinguish your group, then distinguish your group. Let go of the coattails FFS.

Now the way I heard it, a few decades back, "The Misfits," were an MC that used to fight with the Hell's Angels in the Bay Area North Counties over who could sell Meth until the HA stomped/killed the club out of existence. I wonder if anybody wearing one of these new, "Misfits Patches," will get a reminder of the old days...
