So the Moto2 bikes were just at Jerez, fast boys in the 1:43's.

Will any of the non-ART 1000cc CRT bikes be able to hang with those itty bitty 600's? :x

Petrux did a 1:42.9 and Colin a 1:43.0 last year during the race, 4th n 5th for fast laps of CRTs. this year with the softer rear tire, they should be faster everywhere.

i wonder how good CRT chassis development has been in the offseason. we essentially have nothing to go off of for a valid comparison since a lot has changed... new tire and new electronics especially. i doubt the performance increase will be as large as what Moto2 accomplished because there are considerably less & smaller teams running each chassis. but maybe someone got something right.

This should be it. This weekend is the proof in the pudding, as the saying goes. If you aren't fine tuning this weekend, you be way behind the curve ..... Ducati?
:laughing
Watch out, there, J.L.. Rossi is going to start talking the shit before you even hit the beach for the sand dune lighting spectacle.

I will still never understand why Rossi left pretty much the best bike on the grid in the Yamaha for the Ducati. I mean, I understand the reasons people give: Italian on Italian bike, to be "the guy" who fixed Ducati's problems, etc. But for a guy who wants to win, who wants to be the greatest of all time, it always seemed like a stupid idea that would only set him back on his quest.

And it has. 2 years without a win. Only 3 podiums in that time. 2 world championship seasons gone where he wasn't a factor at all. 2 years completely wasted. And now he's 2 years older, and he now has to contend with Marc Marquez. True, Stoner is gone, so that's one less challenger. But still, 2 years down the drain.

But fortunately he's back on the Yamaha (fortunate for him they took him back), so he has a good chance to resume his march toward history. Now let's see if he still has the same stuff after 2 years of futility.

I think he really was that arrogant, and truly believed he could make good at Ducati...that all the others were crap. Stoner rode it well, and Rossi thought Stoner was 1/2 a man he is. I think the first time Rossi rode the Ducati he immediately was shitting himself and questioning everything he thought was true in the world.

A bad call...but I think it has humbled him a bit. Which will likely be short lived if he does well this season.

Rossi was def arrogant to not take the experience of everyone but Stoner on that Duc into consideration before signing... but hey, even Dovi made the jump (stupid stupid). he (Rossi) is not infallible and Ducati could not take his feedback and turn the Desmo into an M1. thankfully, his failings did not lead to retirement like so many other in motorsports.

everyone will forget all that crap the second he steps on top of the box. i bet in a few years, the paragraph about Duc in his wiki will be no more than a sentence or two.

Stoner made the Ducati look decent. Had Rossi test-ridden before signing the contract, he would've said heck no. Basically, Stoner Mind Fvcked Rossi.

Oops I only looked at the final session from Moto2 a few days ago, didn't notice that in session 7, Mr Pol Espargaro did a 1:42.6 on his widdle 600.

SALUTE.

... but hey, even Dovi made the jump (stupid stupid).

Yes, very stupid. He has rendered himself irrelevant for next season. Of course, it could be that he had no other offers besides Ducati, which would be a shame. But if he chose the Duc over anything else, he's an idiot.

Yeah but he's already impressed by going decent fast on the Duc, so nobody has forgotten he's pretty good. Don't think the other three Duc riders will be able to match Dovi's pace, and the first rule of racing is to beat your teammate...

OK, but he's had 6/7/7 podiums the last three seasons. Do you think he'll get even 1 this season?

Ducati might be at that point where they have done so many things wrong they can only do right from here on out. :laughing
Yeah, like listening to Rossi and Burgess was a definite wrong. That destroyed their carbon frame development. A real shame, really. It was something innovative, that needed more development time. Anyway, I hope SOMEONE, preferably Hayden, shows up to give the other two teams some problems. MotoGP needs Ducati and MORE, imho.

hayden has been nothing but positive and patient with ducati. i commend that man for having the patience of a saint. if it were me, i would have pulled a rossi. although, give me enough money to be mediocre and ill keep my mouth shut.

omg, this will be f***in brilliant when its available!! free video, watch it
http://www.motogp.com/en/videos/2013/2013+Promo+MultiScreen

i cant wait to be able to turn the commentators down and the bikes up. and i wonder how long it will take them to offer multi-screen support so i can put the full race on my TV and watch onboards/other angles on my comp monitor.

Holy crap! Dorna finally got it. If that works nearly as good as they make it out to be, I'll finally be sold on the sub.

What the heck is with the rain this test season? Enough already. At least the first race should be dry. :thumbup
