This combination of pics makes me laugh!!! Crutchlow with that banana.

Ditto, was that a Number6-made collage? :thumbup

So we got the same two fast aliens from last year Lorenzo and Pedrosa. Ol' Rossi is back in alien status. Rookie MM received his alien card in the post recently. Crutchlow and Bradl seem to have found enough speed to keep the aliens honest. Ducati now has four bikes instead of two to help their engineers play catch-up. The CRT's get special tires to help their special ed bikes.

Things are looking good for 2013.

Sorry but MM isn't an alien and sure as hell isn't going to get called that until he shows he can keep pace with the guys that win 99% of the races. So far WSBK, moto2, AMA and BSK titles dont mean shit even if you get a factory ride.

im curious on how well this new qualifying format will work. also, they are extending free practice to 4 sessions before a race and they arent allowing outside testing of the GP machines anymore by factories.

its like carmelo is trying to do everything that bernie is doing in F1. for the love of god, please dont start having team orders.

Lol both I suppose.

I would think that if Marquez can't get a win this year, that would be a huge disappointment.

Same with Rossi. Bigger for Rossi because he's now back on a VERY capable bike, and if he can't get some wins, it means he's done.

Bradl could exceed expectations. Everyone thinks he'll just be a top-6 kind of guy, but I think he could snatch a podium and maybe a win if things go his way (like a couple of the aliens crashing).

Everyone else will probably just meet their expectations, give or take. The guys you expect to challenge for the win will do so, and the ones you expect to be mid-pack will be there.

That's my take.

I must've missed something...what?
I thought they were limiting testing to a set amount of tires they get. Out of tires, you're done testing. When did this change?

Tumblr is a good source for pictures. There is even a chick who writes Jorge Lorenzo fan fiction on there.

Hey, please forgive me because I don't read the press releases much, but has Rossi complimented Bradders yet?

It is not clear, yet, whether they are going back to the rules that limited contract riders, like Rossi, from testing, or killing all testing. Testing has been limited for years. The tire rule was to put testing on an equal level, for teams that don't have their own tracks, for example. I am guessing this is more about the Special Rossi Rule, and non-contract riders will still be able to test.

If Dani can't win the world title this year, heads might roll.
Is that from ZOOG? Funny. I haven't seen it before.

this just in from scribe Reg Kitrelle's FB page:

"......Leo Vince USA has stepped into the Kevin Schwantz frey, and I applaud them for taking a stand. This can be a dangerous thing for a company to do. They most assuredly have earned my respect and my future business." Visit the Leo Vince USA FB page and let them know how you feel.

They wrote, in part.....

"I do not know this author but I do know Kevin Schwantz. He was one of the few people who welcomed LeoVince at the race track when we showed up in the USA almost ten years ago. He has been tireless in his promotion of Road Racing both here and abroad and is truly an ambassador of the sport. I to am not a hero worshipper but Kevin Schwantz has EARNED his spot in this sport and as motorcyclists and racing enthusiasts he deserves our respect for the entertainment he brought us and the graciousness he has shown as a champion and mentor of young riders.

Currently he is assisting our sponsored Team Attack Performance as the riding coach of Blake Young our CRT Pilot this year. During the recent tire test, although properly credentialed, he was escorted off the Circuit of America Property by security, threatened with criminal charges for trespassing and told not to return. Yes there is a pending lawsuit between Kevin and CoTA, but the owners should have shown considerably more decorum than this, this could have been managed gracefully not forcefully. He indeed deserves better than the Treatment CoTA showed in their actions. I guess everything is bigger in Texas, including bullies and bastards."
....."

Schwantz just made this public:

He goes on further to say:

On February 3, 2011, Controller Susan Combs sent a letter to me and Mr. Ezpeleta confirming that the MotoGP U.S. Grand Prix would be included in the state's Event Trust Fund beginning in 2013. In that letter, the state controller explained that the annual funding would be sent to 3fourTexasMGP, 'the rights holder for all MotoGP events in Texas'
