Well at That point a crt bike has a better chance at winning than a sat bike. So a sat bike winning would be a fluke. A crt bike would be chance.

Now that I think about it I believe spies was the last sat rider to lead any laps and that was indy back in 09 (?)...meh

dovi led lap 3 of valencia last year (and lap 1 of silverstone 2011 lol, lap 5 of motegi 2011) he led a cople laps at sepang 2010, one lap of cata lunya 2010,
in 2011 theers quite a few laps led by sic jerez for example

nicky led a lap in 2010

just went through all of 2012, 2011, and 2010. the nunber of klaps that jorge has led is astonishing...

2009 has dovi leading 7 laps at mugello (which also say vermulena and meladnri lead a lap each) wining donington and leading 13 laps (elias led a couple that race)

only see 1, crt bike lead 1 more lap then your boy :p

With that said still all of the examples have only lead when its raining and people are switching bikes before the start or middle of the race. All except for Spies of course.

whethe rlaps led means a whle lot is another story, but unfortunately for ben, he may literally never lead another lap again, and never get another podium again...

but look on the bright side. with hard work and dedication, maybe Ben can be the CRT champ in a few years :laughing

Not me, cuz I think it could happen. Can I wait until after a few races to decide for sure?

so qualifying will be interesting.

the 10 fastest times from FP1,2 and 3 will automatically make it into Q2.

Q1 will be the session for slower riders, and the top 2 fastest rides will make it into Q2

so 12 riders in Q2.

how do the riders make it into Q3? is it the top 5 fastest?

Well, they either win the race, or get their tire warmer wrapped up in the tire.

The fastest 10 riders in 3 free practice sessions (combined times) go to Q2. The rest go to Q1. The fastest two riders in Q1 get to go to Q2. Those twelve riders are the first on the grid, from fastest in Q2 to slowest in Q2. Then the Q1 group lines up behind them in fastest first order.

while a little gimmicky, with 24 bikes on the grid now it makes sense.

I dont like superpole but seperating out the riders also benefits the slower guys as well, who have a little more track time and space to work on stuff

ahh okay so there is no Q3. i thought they were trying to mimic what bernie did with qualifying in F1. had me all confused

Love the Ago pics. He was the man for quite a while and will always be the man in his homeland.

We will see if the champ can make his bike suck the tail pipes of the Hondas.
Can't wait to see Bradl shock Honda by beating Marquez. :teeth

Yeah, I sorta had a flashback and forget MotoGP had a bunch of bikes, again. Qualifying can be too unpredictable even with half the bikes, if the speeds are extremely different. Not that five seconds is big or anything. :laughing

If that happens, it's Yamaha that will be shocked, because they will both beat a bunch of M1s. :teeth

I'm time zone retarded. The race is 12 noon Sunday our time right?

yep. the front page at motogp.com always has the weekend's schedule with the option to show it in your timezone. bikes go on track 8AM THURSDAY our time and the GP race is Sunday @ Noon.
