Holy sha-mol-ly. The season hasn't even started and we already have ZOOG, House, and midgets. We need new material this year, gang.

If Ben's mechanical issues continue, his mom better do something, or Protective Services is going to hear from me.

Why sell the Italian house, Kev? Unless, you want to go in halves on it as a crash pad? Have your peeps call my peeps. We'll work out details, later.

OG flatbill?

honestly? because I think its too much of a distraction. heres this young badass texan boy whos roughed it most hi slife to get where he is, and now he lives in the softest spot on the planet, a pure party and luxury spot in the nicest area in italy lol I think the whole atmosphere is bad news for someone who legitimately needs to work his ASS OFF to take that next step.

its like his cycling team, its too much a distraction. too many irons in the fire. he has all these distractions, all these outside interests that I think is taking away some of his fire to compete and do well. dude you gotta live, eat , breathe motogp. and I think hes getting complacent.

look at jorge, houseworth says this stupid thing about ben not testing parts because he is a fighter pilot not a tester. meanwhile, jorge is out pounding lap after lap, running race simulations every test. hell that put him up on casey and dani last year, who didnt and got caught up in the late race diffaculties of the 1000s (arm pump, getting tired)

even rossi is running crazy amounts of laps, testing everything and working his ASS off because he knows to have any chance to beat jorge, he has too. ROSSI for christ sakes.

i think he lake como house is just another distraction (in a long list he has accumulated) that are holding him back.

ben is a helluva gifter rider, best american in a generation, but I don think he is making smart moves. and its costing him

where should ben live? well. if it was me, and I was needing a place to live in europe that would provide a great home base as well as the right atmosphere to keep my head focused and ready, I would probably choose between sweden, gemrany, or the UK. hell go live on the isle of man with cal, and train your ass off.

Hayden won a fluke championship. What's your point?

True but deceptive... Hayden won but it wasn't based solely on luck...
it was actually the first year Rossi and Burgess did not come up with
an improved M1... they fought overheating and break downs and the
first signs of the feud with Michelin... on the other hand Nicky
thrilled the crowds to the end by over coming all sorts of
obstacles... developing a new RC211V to suit his style... being taken
out by his team mate to win the last of the 990cc championships...
Rossi was still strong with 5 wins and 3 seconds but suffered 3 DNFs
and thus the only way for a rider to win was to be more consistent
with 2 wins and 3 seconds and only 1 DNF... no rider on the grid in
2006 could have beat Rossi for wins...

This thread has been delivering. :applause

Well done Mang! Many smiles and giggles and some holy shits.

Luv it.

like I've said many times, I think House is in over his head... I'm not sure he understand what "prototype" racing with "limited testing" really means... pretty much you're always testing parts, there is no off the shelf solution...

Random: finally figured out what those little "aero" bits on the ducati GP09/10/11 bikes were... wasn't for cooling or extra aero, they were concealed frame sliders since the bike was prone to tuck the front end :rofl

It's simpler than that: when you win the championship only because the guy leading it (both in points and wins) crashes out in the last race, that's a fluke.

Ducati woes are a lack of in house tune flex frame engineering...

Quote Tom Houseworth.
“Honda and Yamaha make very, very good frames. They are 100 percent
made in-house, and they all behave the same. Ducati does almost nothing
in-house.”

There is nothing that wins a MotoGP championship called a fluke. I don't see how you can even think that really.

Nicky rode his butt off and indeed got lucky, but some luck figures into a lot of championships. KR JR had some luck too.. Many guys have.

Now if a guy on a CRT won it this year I would agree with a fluke, because that would mean so many guys had ..bad luck.

I had such high hopes for Spies.... This is like last year a game changer season for him. If is goes shitty like last year indeed his career at the top could be in trouble.

yep. exactly. you could call last year a fluke because jorge got lucky when stoner was injured, then dani got taken out by hector barbera. you could call a lot of rossi's titles flukes, not only because of luck, but because of a serious lack of talent on the grid

being a champion is the perfect storm of preparation, skill and luck. i dont think its fair to take anything away from the champs.

It's simpler than that: when you win the championship only because the guy leading it (both in points and wins) crashes out in the last race, that's a fluke.

If I won the championship it would be a miracle of Biblical proportions... if Rossi
doesn't win he says "boh that's racing...

Holy crap, he did learn something from watching Stoner.

Then he doesn't belong, and if he fails in MotoGP, then he deserves it. I know Barry Sheene could party hardy and still be competitive. Ben is no different than any star. Some fail the limelight, some don't. Where you reside has nothing to do with your character. How you handle it, does.
