MSF Too expensive?

175 under 21
235 over 21

I believe it's because of the fact that motorcycles are so popular in California, the prices are so "high". But then again, Is $235 too steep of a price to keep your rearend safer than if you were to just have a friend teach you and then jump onto a 600cc bike?

On top of that... If you have no riding experience, and take the DMV Rider's Test... You're most likely going to have to try it more than a handful of times...

Save and invest in the course... You'll be glad you did.

:wow...thats expensive..
i paid $75

Next to buying a good helmet, paying for the MSF course is the next smart thing you can do if you plan to ride. Food for thought.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind paying a couple more hundred dollars on the course. I took it about two years ago (being cheaper since I was under 21) and it was well worth the time and money. I had no prior riding experience, and after taking it, I felt like a pro (well not exactly, but I knew A LOT more than I did before).

My middle aged returning rider father (read highest risk group) took the MSF course not too lon ago. I bugged him about it as much as possible convincing him to go, it wasn't easy. After the class was over he told me about how glad he was that he went and that he was surprise about how much he learned.
