I spotted one yesteray. A 4 door si? wtf? It has odd little corner windows.

It should have a Folgers coffee can exhaust tip though. The Folgers si ... perhaps someday.
 
What they should've done was just offer a Civic Type R. They could've skipped the Mugen marketing bullshit, and gone with something people might want.

one would HAVE TO BE a complete fool to hype, marketing and peer pressure to pay "under $30K" (which means $29,995) for that......

They only sell what tools will buy. I love how in Europe, due to the abundance of manual cars, the traffic lights have a yellow when it goes from red to green to give you time to pop it in 1st and get ready..so red-yellow-green, as opposed to our red-green instant light. There's too many passengers and not enough drivers in this country. I smoked some relic of a Vette with my relic of a 4dr automatic Mercedes today down 35. It's a joke.

People were paying around that much ( with dealer markup) to have Integra Type-Rs. And that was 7 years ago!

Ooooooo...a rebodied Civic with 5-lug wheels, sticky tires, 180hp, and a wing that started an aftermarket revolution of stupid looking wings on just about any car an under 25 year old fool could get their hands on. Sure that was worth passing up on a Camaro SS or Mustang Cobra for the same money back then.

And people will buy this stupid Civic too. Even though there's still a few 400hp GTOs available for sale for less than $30k. And Ford's all too willing to sell you a new Mustang GT for less than that as well.

But hey...it's a Civic after all. What better name can you think of associated with a performance car than the mighty Civic?!
 
I agree the Mugen isn't much more than a Civic Si at a much higher price. However, why are so many people bashing on Honda?
