Of course they don't have "locking jaws", but in the spirit of the post I figured I'd be pedestrian.
To clarify, I am a long time pitbull(s) owner and have some expereince with the breed, to say Pitbulls have "locking jaws" is a myth! There is nothing unique about the anatomy of their jaws. However, perhaps in their breed and history (bull baiting/fighting) some will hold "lock" with sheer determination. They are powerful dogs and have strong muscles and as a pitbull parent or any other dog owner, we should all know how to break up a dog fight IMO.
Seems like as good a place as any to put this. Hope it becomes more widely adopted.

You should have taken that branch and finish off the owner.
If you know you have an aggressive AND untrained dog then you should NOT have that animal in public. Completely irresponsible owners. I see people like this all the time with small and large dogs and I get very angry because of the danger it puts my dog in and the repercussions of her likely found "at fault" because of her breed.
