My kid is a punk!

Just a question....

Why can't some of you just appreciate that the next generation is appreciating bands like Agent Orange, DK, DI, Socail D, Black Flag, Total Chaos, and more...????

From a true OG punk, the answer is because most music nowdays is poop. At least your kid has migrated towards finding some gems and there is a TON of other killer stuff out there for him to discover. :thumbup

Feel free to let him know if he crosses my path in a pit there is a good chance he'll get knocked the fuck down... and then picked back up so we can do it again... WOOT! :teeth

I'm not typically a fan of all ages shows now that I am older but it is cool when they allow the kiddies in to play with the big kids like I used to when I was a wee punk. The rules seem to center on venue and type of alcohol being served. Last time I saw a mix of hard alcohol and tots was a TSOL show in Vegas many moons ago at a now defunct club. Kind of a bummer cause many of the kiddies miss out on some killer bands which was not the case back in my day as everything was typically all ages no matter what was served.

Not sure where you stand on letting your kid roam or taking him to shows but Corey O'Brien's Blank Club in SJ is a killer joint http://www.theblankclub.com and I really like The Uptown in Oakland http://www.uptownnightclub.com

FYI, cool old school show coming to Uptown in Feb... THE COCKNEY REJECTS, YOUTH BRIGADE, special guests
