Seriously? Hubris. :rolleyes I don't know why I even bother typing anything on BARF anymore. Which is likely why I rarely do anymore. Just seem like people want to say things to pick fights and start flame wars.

I started out just giving my .02 about what I saw from an attorney perspective and I get called hubris or "arrogance, conceit, haughtiness, hauteur, pride, self-importance, egotism, pomposity, superciliousness, superiority." Well tell you what Marcoose and Assmodous go FUCK yourself. Never call me or any other attorney when someone hurts you or someone you love. You seem to think you know everything so good luck on your own.

I am done with this thread and getting close to being done with BARF. This site has too many assholes that can do nothing but stir up shit. Mods you want to ban me go ahead I will save my opinions for my client who pay me to give them advice.

Would you guys all just please delete your posts and quotes so we can bypass the ban nonsense? People are cranky, it's no big deal and there's no sense in losing the variety in perspectives that we have around here. Delete, sign off, come back later.

Like whoa. There was a couple words in there I have never used in my entire life.



My take on this? Ward is was a stupid ass for getting out before emergency responders arrived and walking into the racing line. And Stewart is a stupid ass for not just slowing and avoiding him instead of trying to roost him or whatever he was trying to do. Point a gun and fire some kind of warning shot at someone, but accidentally hit them...that's what happened here. And it should be handled the same way. At the very least, Stewart's career just ended.

Yep, TS was following in the tire tracks of the car in front. That kid was standing closer to the infield side of the track than he was to the wall.
Kid has at least 99% responsibly for this outcome

he shouldn't have been on the track, no. legally i think stewart is fine.

he is still a murderer and has to live with that. something tells me he will be just fine with it.
 
After watching the video a few times I think it was a accident. The guy that got hit took at least 10 steps away from his crashed car and into the middle of the track.
 
In response to some of the complaining on the thread, it is a grainy youtube video we are trying to analyze.

Ward was blocked out when he was hit. He could have dove until the car for all we known.

I know some people here have an expert opinion. But I'm not sure I would stake anything on that video.

Slow motion clearly shows his car drifting up the track with the back end sliding up. Combine that with the audio (on other videos) and it is a throttle induced slide. The other cars drove by with no problem, why did he gas it and get it sliding as he approached? Not to hit him intentionally, I don't think anyone believes that. But to spray him due to his hot headed, temperamental ways?
 
I grew up around dirt-track racing, both B cars and Sprint cars. My dad raced. It is not uncommon for people to be on the track when a yellow is flown. I'm not saying it's smart, but it's not uncommon enough that it would be totally unexpected. Usually when the yellows fly, folks will dart from the stands in to the middle of the oval to start prepping for the next race or to return with concessions or whatever.

It's also not uncommon for Sprint cars to go ass-over-teakettle when hit and do some serious flipping, with wings and sometimes body panels flying everywhere. Drivers pretty much expect that and know to keep a watch out. And yes, they can turn without sliding the rear at yellow-flag speeds. You just putt on around until the flagman tells you it's ok to punch it again.

My interpretation is that he gave that little blip as a fuck-you and it went very, very wrong.
