NBA Playoffs 2013 Go Warriors!

Yeesh.......spent the entire fourth quarter pacing. As soon as they got up 18 I thought, "here comes the collapse." Yep, but not enough to lose the game.

I thought from the beginning that Denver was a bad matchup. I actually hoped that the Warriors would get the 7 seed because I thought they matched up with the Spurs better than the Nuggets. Then the Spurs DISMANTLED the Lakers and I thought, "Whew, glad the Warriors got the 6 seed."

The Nuggets are a matchup nightmare and REALLY glad the Warriors got through. My main concerns are:

Bogut's ankle
Thompson's shooting
Jack's ball handling
Curry's ankle and Curry's other ankle and Curry's hamstring and Curry's eye

At this point, the Warriors are playing with house money. Going into this series I like the Warriors chances better than going into the previous series. San Antonio is battle tested and has lots of experience which is a nice way of saying they're old. Wish the Lakers had pushed them a bit harder, but...... Maybe the Warriors can run San Antonio into the ground?

The beat the Spurs during the season. Never know. Might match up well. Spurs don't get offensive rebounds like the Nuggets do and aren't as fast.

Parker and Ginobli are TOUGH to guard though. Steal a game in San Antonio and go from there.

These next 3 days they need to practice inbounding the damn ball!!

Should be a fun series. Technical, practiced SA versus the young, long-range bombing Warriors.

Spurs in 6.

great win but... HOLY CRAP!!! besides the obvious last minute or so of the game i was literally screaming at my TV to take jack out of the game (or at least the ball out of his hands). I got mad love for the guy for the way he helped the team out during the regular season and he definitely had his share of good moments during the playoffs... unfortunately, you need to recognize you're having an off night and give up the rock to somebody else. the only guy i would be "ok" with dribbling the ball for 20 seconds of the shot clock before taking a jumper is curry.

oh and props to BOGUT! this is what it feels like to have a legitmate center on your team and it is f'n AWSOME!!!

Thompson's shooting does worry me too. He can go cold really quickly but his defense is good. I see him on Ginobli.

They score 12+ more points via 3pt shooting than the Spurs.

Big red flag for me, Turnover per game Spurs 10 times, Warriors 18 :wow

If Bogut can keep Duncan off his game I'm confident they make the series interesting. Bonner, tall red head on the Spurs runner up in 3pt contest this year too. Cant wait til Monday

Thompson's defense on Iguodala was fantastic!!! I noticed a couple of times during free throws Thompson bending over and breathing HARD. He worked like crazy on the defensive end and it showed. Points were at a premium last night, and Thompson made Iguodala work for everything he got. Agree, I see Thompson on Genobili.

Bonner is accurate, but he seems to get a lot of "garbage" threes because other bigs don't want to guard him out there. If he matches up with Landry, I see Bonner getting some threes. If Barnes matches up with Bonner, I don't see Bonner scoring much.

Parker is going to have the same kind of impact on the Warriors as Lawson; scary. Other than Parker, I think the Warriors match up incredibly well. If Jack can muscle Parker and stay out of foul trouble, I think the Warriors have a real chance!

:laughing

A Warriors friend said she feels the team owes her $200 for a professional hair coloring, because the last 3 minutes of the game caused her hair to turn white.

You just can't overlook all the good that Jackson has done in only 2 seasons, really nice group of guys playing for Golden State now. And their arena is rocking like no other.

Entertaining game. :thumbup

Congrats Warriors.

The gold in Oracle was impressive. I have never seen a group of fans be so solid in team color unity. Amazing.

R2 -- good luck guys. Play hard!!

Half time and up by 4 on the Spurs

Great defense. Gotta sustain that for another 24 minutes.

Oh and the Heat lost to Bulls. Chicago went on a 10-0 run to win the game.

There's some stupid bitch that has a high pitch scream that needs to be put down.

That sucked! I thought they had no chance before the series started, but they should have won this game going away. If they had just hit free throws - fuck! Up 16 with 4 to go and they lose...lame

Exactly! Still had a chance if they didnt leave Ginobli wide open. This was a game they needed to steal as Tiago Splitter, another near 7ft center comes back game 2 Wednesday.

They lost the first game to Denver, we'll see how this turns out. Gotta win at least one in San Antonio if they plan to move on.

Who's the screaming girl everyones talking about? Was that on the comcast feed? I watched the TNT and didnt hear it.

Well, shit.

Bazemore came up huge at the end, but just not enough. The defense on the inbounds with 3.9 left was a fuck up of epic proportions.

Don't know if they can overcome that kind of loss. Damn.

I think they can overcome this loss... while it certainly is deflating to lose a 2OT game, I'm sure coach jackson already has a few adjustments in mind for the next game (i.e. do NOT play curry for basically the whole game + OT). If anything, i think this game can give them confidence. They SHOULD have won but they lost it mostly due to errors that the warriors created themselves. Heck, i would've been fine with the spurs cutting that 16 point deficit down if curry had been resting on the bench for half of the 4th quarter (i know the spurs are a good team, but curry not having the energy to get lift on his jumpshots had more to do with him missing them rather than leonard's defense)

Wow they so choked...very sad to watch. That should have been a win for them. I'm very disappointed.
