new Honda RC model?

Who said you can only ride it on the street? Some people take their bikes to the track.

No one said bikes like this aren't taken to the track...But...what good is it to take a bike to the track, that isn't set-up for the track, and is a bike that is so expensive...the rider doesn't even remotely test it's (and their) boundries?

Do you see bikes like that on the track? I only see them in parking lots at gathering spots. :)

Sportbikes with clipons? Yeah, almost all the bikes I see at the track fit that description.

lou needs to get down to a newstand. this month's Cycle World reviews an S1000RR built up with handlebars.

Holy Moly, Thanks for the head-up , I will hunt that down...Wouldn't of ever seen it, without the heads-up..:thumbup

Sport bikes is a rather broad term..I asked if you saw bikes like this (concept bike) with street being it's actual use...but on the track with dedicated track bikes, ridden by riders that have dedicated bikes, because of their seriousness.

(OK the first version was the short version :laughing )

Actually, what you said was this:

Oh Ya, How many bikers are so confused to desire that seat and riding stance on the street?

This includes pretty much all sportbikes with clipons, not just limited production collectible replicas.

Oh Ya, How many bikers are so confused to desire that seat and riding stance on the street? Well..as long as the trip just goes to Starbucks it could be plenty.

I'd pick a HP4 and put street handlebars on, to get BMW's interactive suspension Or the new ZX-10 with Ohlins Mechatronic suspension, and put street bars on that....But obviously ... That's just me :laughing

First, the HP4 and the RC aren't any different in riding stance. In fact, I'd bet the Honda is more comfy.

Second, putting bars on streetbikes isn't something new or an ingenious creation, I've been doing it for at least the past 12 years and I learned it from guys who had been doing it since long before then.

Talking to the guys in Toronto last month they all said the RCV is a reality. Just when and how much remains to be seen. There's been rumours that it will be very pricey, and I hope that they're false, for everyone's sake. I'll make do with my porky outdated RC51 in the meantime:laughing

Why buy Honda's version when Aprilia already has it nailed?

Beat me to it. Not sure why people drool over this when you can walk down to your local Aprilia dealer today and buy this already. Okay, maybe it won't have Honda reliability, but it will sound better.

You obviously don't get out to the track very often. I see plenty of high end bikes at the track every track day I do.

This is why we can't have nice things.

I used to hang out more with Lou. But I got tired of sprinting everywhere trying to follow him, listening to him shout at the top of his lungs at everyone, listening to his music at full volume, driving the kids to school at 130mph.
Man does that guy push the boundaries, 25hrs/8days a week.
