NFL 2021

So given GBs history Denver's goal is to just make the the playoffs and not the SB? :dunno

Nope. With more than 40 million in cap space, a really really good defense and a lot of young offensive talent. I’d say Denver is a decent QB away from a SB. Hmmm who could that QB be…

I meant Neal drops to 5, then trade down from 7 and get Linderbaum around 10 or 12. I don't think anybody is taking a C that high, the pay scale would be way too wonky even with the rookie salary limit.

Yeah, that sounds like a sexy deal if we can find a taker to give up some decent pick/picks to move up and take a swing at QB. The only team in that range is Washington at 11, but a little draft inbreeding is not unheard of, but I think to do that deal with Washington to get a QB we have to play twice a year, they would haver to offer a 1st and 2nd for it.

Not sure if the deal would happen since Washington already gave up their 5th rounder to the Shitbirds last year.

Yeah I am not sure that is going to be possible. They would just run into the buzzsaw that are the Bills and Chiefs. I mean come on GB was not that bad they were the 1 seed so they couldn't have been that sucky.

I know I sound like a broken record at this point, but didn't they come in at like 20th in O-line ranking? I think they gave up like 40 sacks this year. That isn't the 60 that Da Bears gave up, but neither is it the 1.5 per game that Tampa Bay gave up.

Has anyone noticed the commercials promoting the NFC Championship game are "Deebo Samuel and the 49ers face Matthew Stanford and the Rams..." with no mention of Garp? :dunno :laughing

I dunno after last week's performance you want the highlight to be jimg vs Stafford??

Not sure if you were talking about GB or Denver but Googling it I found that the O line for Denver was ranked worse than GB so they are not a QB away from anything and would be a downgrade for Rodgers.

Hackett’s father played football with my father in law at UC Davis.

Cool!

Paul won a ring with the 9ers in '84, iirc... but he sucked at USC. I think he got replaced by some guy named Pete Carroll who did some stuff there.

It's all fuel to the KAaron to Denver fire!

Jags hiring Byron Leftwich and firing Baalke, apparently.

Raiduhs interviewing Josh McDaniels :laughing

Denver, I was responding to the comment about Denver. I don't think they have the O-line to compete on offense with a top nothc QB.

There is those whole myth of the QB that exists in peoples minds that one dude can save a team. The reality is, an O-Line is so much more important. If your protection is elite at the Pro Level, a mediocre QB with a pack of mediocre WR and a couple of mediocre RB can win the superbowl for sure if the Defense is brutal.

or you have the Cowboys :laughing

LOL, nah, they are all about building flash on Offense that doesn't pan out and they have not invested very hard in a good defense in the Used Car Salesman era.

Don’t forget Cleveland, top 10 o-line, mediocre QB. Raiders are the opposite damn good QB and an o-line ranked worse than Denver.

Well, you keep missing the Defense part of it though. Raiders D just isn't very good. Cleveland is better, but they have a ToD of like -3. They control the field well, but don't get enough turnovers.

Their sacks aren't bad, but not great. Myles Garrett is a monster and Clowney performed well this year (9 sacks), but after those 2, I don' think they have a single player with more than 2 sacks.

Too many motherfuckers talking about Joe Montana, not enough talking about Keena Turner and Ronnie Lott.

dude, the only reason the Raiders made the playoffs is because their d went from bottom 3 to middle of the pack. They weren't horrific to watch, which was a huge improvement.
