Ninja H2?

Crashing that thing will cost a fortune.
my first thought

If MotoGP bikes don't need wings, why does this bike need them?
my second thought, functionality. What's to say MotoGP won't have them next year? ever see a F1 one car from 1950s. they looked like a saussage, now they looks like that H2R.. like they could slice deli meat. I'm interested to see why a co. like Kawi and their unlimited resources and engineering came up with this. There HAS to be a reason. Will it be a game changer? We'll find out very soon. But definitely looks more different than anything from the last 15yrs... its about time.

5 lugs on the rear tire with a HUGE rotor 0.o ....OK...

Ducati played around with the idea a few years ago...

It looks like those wings would be ripped off a motogp bike at full lean. I think the idea of this bike is interesting and the hype has been fun. But I didn't expect anything less than ugly from kawi. The z1000, by all accounts, is a rad bike. But damn, it's ugly. It's a bike that could grow on me, but deep down I'd still know it's gross.

I actually like the looks of the H2, and I'm not a sprotbile guy at all.

a motoGP team would never put a bike on the track that would hit body work at full lean. what you think and what a large team of engineers thought of, developed and tested over years are two totally different things. still though, its always up to the consumer to accept or reject what the make based on looks alone :laughing

agree on z1000 hehe

My guess is that they are somewhat functional, produce downforce and create drag.
It could be that MotoGP can not afford the drag or the downforce does not help as much as the drag hurts.
In any case that thing looks insane. I hope it turns as aggressively as it looks.

The winglets on the Ducati GP10(?) were more about directing airflow to create negative pressure behind the radiator, thereby "sucking" air out to improve cooling.

The uppermost wing doesn't look like it's hooked to anything substantial enough to create meaningful downforce. Maybe it exists to keep the rider from being ripped apart by category-5 headwinds?

Bike looks like a bucket of throwup:barf also the green frame is nasty green, at least give it the factory racing green. Would like to see in race trim, but I think it will still be hidious.

You're looking at the race trim version

We have yet to see the street version.

Wings could turn out to be like the early split window Corvettes. Everyone thought the split window was ugly and a lot were converted by owners to the more common single window design. Now the split windows are the more desirable and valuable. Just a thought. =)

Reminds me of a full fairing version of that large displacement Duc from a few years back that was discontinued. Foot rubbed against pipe.
