Ninja H2?

You do realize somebody can "wheelie over backwards" on a 250cc right

you guys are all haters

lol

kawi just pushed the envelop and literally pulled the pants over the faces of their closest competitors

who cares, your just jealous some fooqer out there is gonna pull up next to you on a H2 one day and go

"Team Green, 300hp

- Come at me bro"

i dont think kawi was 2 concerned that this doesnt fit in a racing class or genre, its just a marketing bike to say because we can, and our companies roots expand much further then just motor building, car design and musical instruments.

I looped a YSR50. Well, I just stood up and put the bike back down, but close enough. :laughing

I forgot HP number is the only thing by which a motorcycle can be judged.

I take back what I said, this is the most badass motorcycle ever.

Weren't you going on about how turbos are "peaky"? :laughing

Yes, it's possible to use 300hp. No, you can't do a redline clutch dump from a standstill and not expect something totally awesome and disastrous to happen. Doesn't mean you can't use it ever, though. There are 1000hp motorcycles out there that'd beg to differ. :afm199

300hp is going to happen at WOT close to redline. There are stretches of road where you could probably open it in 3rd or 4th gear and not have anything bad happen.

Is 300hp easily accessible? No. But it's not impossible. At least for non-wussy people. :twofinger

300 hp in 3rd would likely result in a wheelie. 4th probably too. Unless the bike is geared crazy high, in which case it won't accelerate very well.

Well, you don't have to ham-fist the shit. Just cuz YOU can't use 300hp doesn't mean no one else can. I'm sure this thing is incredibly fast, far more than is useful on the street, but it's still totally badass and rad.

I wager you could gear this thing pretty tall and still have it pull very hard.

OMG...There is this thing on the right side handgrip, that regulates power.

There is no reason to get what you don't want...Stupid isn't an acceptable reason.

Yet again, I am forced to agree with Lou. As long as the power/torque curve doesn't have some sort of silly slope to it, this bike will be manageable. Probably.

Obviously the peak power / torque is not intended to be deployed at a standstill. But once you're going 250MPH across that salt flat you will be happy to call on the 300th and final horsepower. And at that speed the behavior of the bike will be dominated by aerodynamic forces, not bike-flipping axle torque.

well there you are - it's all coming back to me now:

at 2006 BUB Bonneville meet, all the chatter was about Busas & their speed
[stock was mebbe 185mph on The Salt, dependably]

then the first ZX14s arrived and they were equally dependable, at about 195mph

once these 'stock' numbers were up on the board, most of the talk disappeared
& folks began modifying their bikes out of that class

then the BMWs showed up, flirting dependably with 185-200mph -
these days, they're getting modified as well

now the H2 sez, "meet the new Boss".....

pretty sure the electronics are going to sort out the bike to the point that full on-throttle acceleration will keep the front wheel tame at a few inches off the ground

Would Honda ever make a bike as radical as this?

Can you make any comparisons to the NR750 or RC30/45 "for the street" ?

This bike seems brazen.

Yes, of course. And if you don't want to loop the bike an die, you will never be able to unleash all 300 hp. So what's the point of having 300 hp?

Yes, electronics will tame it by REDUCING THE POWER OUTPUT. So what's the point of a 300 hp bike if you can never actually use the 300 hp?

I think that you are unclear as to how power delivery works. Sure, there wouldn't be too many occasions in which you could unleash all of those ponies. If you're on a long straight and are already carrying some speed, there's no reason you couldn't experience the full 300, albeit briefly.
