Not another Baja ride report…

I don't know if you post on Adventure Rider but you should post this blog. It's perfect for some thread there, and they have many.

Yeah, I was thinking of adding a link there, but there are soooo many Baja posts.

True, and there are some very good ones. Yours, however, is right up there with the best of them. I think you should post it. :thumbup

Screw them let them come here :x

We ADVrider-types sneak into BARF Adventure Riding
hoping some of the cool here rubs off on us ... :cool

What does WoodsChick call BARF-AR?
"Our own little corner of the Internet"? :ride

Anyway, I know my ADV friends in New Jersey are of the opinion
that there is no such thing as too many Baja RRs ...

They'd love to see this one! :thumbup
Thanks again, SRAD600 and Leo_jb ...:)
see you around the campfire,

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. We're both on ADV, but I've personally been on this board much longer and know many members personally whereas ADV is a bit more anonymous. So sharing our experience here felt more inviting (to me).

Really appreciate the encouragement and glad folks enjoyed the trip. :thumbup

Was reading through another Baja report over on ADVRider and came across this little gem. Same route we did on day 7. Wish I had read this before our ride.

And day 19 Santa Rosalillita to Catavina

On day 19 track, you can take the main dirt road inland to Catavina from the fish camps instead of the route I took. The way I went gets very rocky and then I rode up the sugar sand wash. I don't suggest taking a big bike that way at all.

21 days exploring Baja

Yeah the "21 days exploring Baja" inspired my trip for sure! I liked the helmet video you made of every 5 minutes a shot, it really captures the feeling of a baja trip I think.

Dana Neisler Memorial Ride

I wanted to let you know the rider you saw down at Laguna Hanson was my very good friend and Baja brother, Dana Neisler. It has been a huge loss and he is dearly missed.

At the accident location, I put up a memorial of 12 tires to represent the flats he had on his Cabo trip. The location is: N31"58.361" W115"58.443

I have put together a memorial ride from to Tecate to Mike's Sky Ranch on June 14-15, 2014 if anyone would like to come. I am located in San Diego and have a spare room if you want a place to stay the before and after the ride. We have a big bike and dirt bike group with a total of 42 riders.

Thank you for posting the picture of the clouds, it's a nice reminder he died doing what he loved and where he loved being the most.....Baja.

I've seen photos of the memorial placed at the scene, looks to be a very fitting commemoration for a fellow rider. My condolences go out to his family and friends. Good on you for setting up the memorial ride. :thumbup
