Oil Filter Suppressor

I think its nuts too. Every guy my dads age that was in the military has hearing aids. I was told that in certain countries its considered a courtesy to use a suppressor.

Don't anyone do anything stupid. ATF/DOJ catches you with so much as a coke bottle on your 22 it's 'federal pound me in the ass prison' (tm).

Having lost hearing in both ears due to gun shots, I wish this was one area the law made more sense. If my motorcycle has to be quiet, then why the hell should my rifle be noisy?

Hahahahahaha!!! The last sentence is fuckin great!! Somebody needs to quote that shit for their sig.

Make friends with a machinist, and everything can be made into a suppressor. heh.

Interesting to see what happens when the paper element eventually cooks out.

I'm a retired Machinist. (at work) we always had our personal projects, and could do them on our own time.

A friend treaded the end of his pistol barrel, and made a screw-on silencer.

I went with him, out into the desert to fire it. It was so quiet, you could of shot someone, in a supermarket..
.And anyone in the next isle, wouldn't raise an eyebrow.

As far as the oil filter silencer goes. Change your filter, between jobs...Sheesh, they are free.

Great idea, too bad we can't have threaded barrel ends here in the formerly great State of California.

However, it's good knowledge for any future contingencies.

And they work!

Just a point of fact. You can have a threaded barrel on a rifle. Just not on a pistol. Reference 30515(a)(4)(A) PC.

Can't choke a shotgun without threads.
