It makes me a member of this community that is BARF who has an opinion that might be 100% different than yours. One who has been around a while and seen the attention whores and post whores come and go and stir up a lot of shit, get people riled up and then fade away. My view is, some people just have no patience to follow bullshit rules. These are the same people that would be likely to tell someone to fuckoff in person. If you ask me, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. Kicking these people out of the motorcycle online community sucks because these are our friends. Good people. People we hang out with in real life. People that even some mods call friends. I don't blame these suspended/banned guys one bit for not conforming to some bullshit rules. Fuck censorship. I'm behind them 100% for speaking their minds.

Why should a grown man (that you call a friend) have to bite his words?

The only reason I haven't been banned is, my buttons aren't easy to push, and I don't hang here very often anymore. But if someone here pissed me off, I would have no problem calling an asshole a asshole. Screw the TOS. Just like someone doesn't like to have fun on a road where police are parked all over the place. This forum has become a place where wannabe internet cops are watching your every word, ready to pounce and slap you on the wrist or write you a ticket if you slip up. How fucking lame is that? From what I hear in meatspace, thats why many have stopped posting.

But instead of saying fuck barf, like many old time barfers are saying out in meatspace these days, I air out my grievances here, hoping that maybe one day enough people agree, speak up and changes are made to give people here more freedom with their words. Something is really wrong when good people (you call friends) are being cast out/banned over words. Then they get pissed off, and stop showing up at meets or parties because people they don't like (mods)are going to be there. These stupid rules are driving a wedge between barf buddies.

Many of us are in the middle, being friends with mods and people who have been suspended/banned. Ok, so barf members and these suspended/banned people cant get away with calling mods assholes on barf. But would you really rather have these people call barf mods assholes on rides/meatspace/facebook and other forums behind your backs? Personally, I rather have someone call me asshole to my face, online or in person. Many have called me asshole online in the past, then later on we've become friends after getting to know each other better.

I really don't care enough about barf politics to get involved other than a couple posts here and there, so I'm done preaching here. But I really wish you guys would see the light and stop driving a real life wedge with this TOS and suspensions.

I hope you guys can work it out so everyone can hang out together again online and in person like old times.

Most of the folks who have been on this board for little while know each other in real life now too, thanks to BARF. I've ridden bikes with a good number of folks who have posted in this thread. I've gone to the range, surfed, raced against (AFM), done track days, slept with, had dinner, showed my junk to, met in other countries, hugged, and adored people I've met from teh BARF, not to mention that I share the same M/C patch with a strong handful of BARFers; so when someone logs onto this site and immediately climbs onto their high-horse and feels they can start "stirring shit with good reason" I get offended.

How many of us do you know? Do you remember guys like Thump, Kevo, Maiden4Eva, or Silly Sod? These are just a few people who have disappeared over the nearly EIGHT years I've been posting here. The thought that we have lost Bad Dad breaks my heart, but if you know Marco you understand. Do you know him? Have you ever met him? He put in his time as a MOD, he has been of service to our community. More than I can say for myself, and way more than I can say for you.

Motorcycles are what brought us together, but the friendships we have forged through this common bond are what keep us together. If you ever hope to get more from being part of our online community I suggest you leave the virtual and take part in the actual.

After that perhaps we'd be more inclined to take you off our ignore list.

Thank you for the dialog today, I feel pretty lucky to know, and occasionally hang out with, so many people who are able to separate the shit from the shinola....I know that we've seen plenty of stuff we don't like, and still been able to get through it and connect with other members of our tribe.....that's why I'm still here.


Anyone expecting perfection, out of me, is due to be sorely disappointed.

All I can do is apologize for any injustices, and promise that I will continue to do my best to be fair, and consistent. I enjoy working with the other Mods because, although we argue about many things, we share this common goal. If anyone thinks they can do better; I take my hat off to you.

That crap in the other thread is about how I run MY business. I've been doing it for almost 20 years now. Its an honest exchange of ideas with a guy who gives a shit about cars.

It may be many things but it is not inflammatory, confrontational, vitriolic or garbage.

I do think highly of myself. Never said I didn't. So do my many customers.

I'm done playing with you tonight. Unlike many people these days, I need to get up early to go to work.

I'm telling you BARF is as much my sandbox as it is yours and you're pissing in it. By your own words you're going to keep your obnoxious behavior until you get banned. Couldn't come soon enough as far a I'm concerned
