Photos of your bike on location

No matter how often I ride it I never get tired of The Little Dragon.

That Fat Bob yesterday was fun to ride and had a fantastic motor, but I missed the corner carving action. A quick ride up Mt Hamilton on the 690 fixed that.

I tried something new today, riding from Jordan Valley Oregon to Grand View Idaho on the Owyhee Uplands National Back Country Byway. It's 80 miles of remote gravel road through some interesting country where they can't grow much more than cattle.

On the way up to Silver City:

Somebody built a small reservoir out there in the middle of nowhere so they could water their crops:

There was one steep canyon we had to go through:

There were 80 miles of stuff like this:

Going to make my last post here a big one. Moved to Denver a while back and finally got around to collecting my bike. Took the scenic route while rolling through a bunch of National Parks.

Six days. Should be almost 2,200 miles. Started recording GPS a little late on the second day.

First two days were with Bay Area crew and the rest, solo. Rolled through Yosemite, Hwy 50 through NV, Great Basin, Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef and Arches. 12, between Bryce and Capital Reef was an unexpected highlight. Basically just blasted through Colorado since I live here now and should have plenty of time to do weekend trips around the state.

Bike was super comfortable. Butt and knees were tired at the end of the day, that's all. Think the knees was mostly due to the armor in my jeans.

HeliBars helped a lot. Very small rise and slightly relaxed angle for the clip ons.

Krieger 20L bags on the tail and tank was plenty of storage for credit card touring. Undoing the tank bag to fill up every 100 miles or so was an annoyance, but not a big one. I've got like a 170 mile range, but there were lots of places with 50+ miles in between service. As was not having locking bags. Though, I didn't stress out about them too much, just didn't leave anything of value in the bags when I was away for short periods.

No mechanical issues, crashes or speeding tickets. Well, almost no mechanical issues. Did have to toss half a liter of oil in. CBRs are well known for burning the stuff.

Yeah, you don't get kicked out of BARF just because you've moved to another state. You can post Colorado photos and I'll keep posting Idaho, Oregon, and Utah photos. :cool

Took the Light Bee for a ride today on Mt Hamilton. Unfortunately it can only get half way to the observatory and I need to turn around if I want to make it home =( Still fun ride it really rips through the first section :)

Nice sceneries. Hope to see some more from you, Jason. Enjoy life in Denver!

(I've always thought people who park their bikes inside their motel rooms at night are paranoid, but I haven't had a overnight moto trip yet.) :twofinger

Thanks. Only did it one night. Hawthorne, NV is a depressed town. Didn't feel safe.

By now I'm wondering what's wrong people are. Why would they pack a trailer full of trash like this? How do they tow something this big with busted tires and rims, presumably in the middle of night, and dump them on the side of the road? What kind of people are these?

That's an easy one to answer, tweekers :laughing. You would be amazed at the stuff they come up with.
