^^^ Always like the POV action shots!

My iPhone 6 died from water exposure during last Sunday's rain ride, and I missed a bunch of good photo opportunities. :mad Sunshine, blue skies, mostly dry roads today; not as interesting for photos...

The one lane section got a couple of feet narrower

This is the shot I tried to get last Sunday in the rain, but my phone froze up and died.

Still on Eureka Canyon. A crew was clearing a downed tree. I was told that farther down, Highland had two land slides and I wouldn't be able to get thru, so had to turn around.

:laughing I was going to guess High Rock Canyon, but when I quoted the photo I saw the file name. Wanna know how I recognized it? :teeth

I hate when that happens!

It turns out that even though the water is really deep, it's pretty solid if you stay in the wheel tracks. I'm sure you discovered that as well.

Ultimately to get my bike out, we had to lean it over to the left, move the wheels out of the hole then tip it up again, over and over, until we could push it over the edge and into the water. Then I just fired it up and rode it out. : | It was an awful lot of work that could have been avoided by proper scouting. Lesson learned.

And I hate when THAT happens. It's always "fun" trying to get a bike out of somewhere you shouldn't have taken it to begin with.

Not sure if you're referring to my barge or the fact that it's in the grass.

:laughing

There was nothing particularly challenging about High Rock Canyon other than my poor choice in lines.

Dream about that bike sunk up to the rear axle in the mud 20 feet further along. Then dream about trying to get it out of there, alone. :laughing

Yup, quite a mess if you're alone. Done that on my DRZ400sm, WR250F, and R1150GS. Each time it was mildly stressful, no signal to call for help, and took some effort to get out, but I have not needed to hike out and leave the bike behind, yet.
