I will often look for the white spec that is the the observatory whenever I go over Laureles Grade from Carmel Valley to Hwy 68, on clear days you can see it, and I think "I wonder which barfers rode up there today?"

Not a crash. Fork seal leaked while I was in Switzerland. Front tire covered with oil. First thought I had a low or flat tire when I went around the corner leaving my house. I blame jet lag for not noticing the oil before I started to go for a ride.

Top of Mt Umunhum. After years of staring at this monolith building from the valley below, it was thrilling to ride the freshly paved road all the way up. It's ruggedly beautiful, and you can see forever!

128 from Boonville

Went to Anderson Valley Brewery to fill up my growler. Not the best views from these pics, but oh well! I love my bike.

Parts of the 128 North after the 101 could stand to be re-paved -- forgot how dicey some of that road is.... Overall, pretty day for a ride and gorgeous views. Saw a bunch of deer, too.

I rode today, location is sadly at work.... Just wanted to hi-light the removal of the aircraft carrier scale model replica rear fender.
