Pismo, Oceano Dunes SVRA - CORVA News

Now we have a full Native American battle over the use of the dunes.

They need punitive monetary damages to be debilitating to these 'Karen/assholes' or they will never stop.

Yes lets save the planet by making me drive an extra 7 hours (each way worth of pollution) south to Baja to enjoy my beach riding.

This "Karen" is on our side, almost got sued out of her news outlet, by a crooked board of supervisors.

Beach flooding possible this weekend,
also happened last year 1/4/24, posted here

Speaking of California Coastal Commission....

California Environmental Quality Act lawsuits filed by a small group of residents stalled the project. When the California Coastal Commission gave tentative approval, it restricted construction to only stormy winter months to protect nesting seagulls.

Remind you of any other BULLSHIT?

Another challenge against Ca. State Parks, inaction, confusion, leaderless.

Great article... thank you.

Man.. reading this stuff sure does get me riled up and just shows how much favoritism, collusion and ineptitude plays into our fine State employees we pay for like Ms. Liz McGuirk.

Guys like Will Harris are gold for doing the deep dives and telling the truth.

Friends of OD. Keep up the good fight. :flag

Another article on CCC, a bit different side of things, of the Powers That Be.

@CDONA Every time you post something in this thread I read it. Usually I am siding with the Friends and get a little pissed.

This one while an example of overeach seems to be headed towards the right and fair call. :thumbup

Its all about balance,

Sometimes good happens, and by accident, it is shared, , ,
I have been presenting a lot of bad here from my old 'hood, I'm kind of wondering where on the Polsink Pulled Patter, I reside ?

THIS MAKE ME HAPPY!!!!! :thumbup

Look Out, Big Ol' Spotlight of increased tourist count centered on Central Coast.

All those that hammered SLO, when Oprah declared it "The Friendliest Town" ,
that attracted way more flim- flam, scammers/politicians.

Here we go again, , ,

When I lived there it was sleepy and old. They sure have upped their game downtown.

#1 and you can drive your car on the beach. :cool

And, the state is back in the hot seat, fiddling around, , ,
as California burns, , ,

My feeling, the State has given up on vehicles on the sand, awaiting the axe from the CCC.
No one in charge with no direction for continuing use, for ten years, now.
No way to ban vehicles, yet, are they still looking to ban?
Has anybody asked what the Gov wants to do?
Is the Gov avoiding this decision?

I believe there is money to be made with this sandy resource, Gentleman's Sand Drags have been held before.

Thanks Mike.
I love that you stay on top of this and share with us.

The dunes are a pretty vital economic part of Pismo.

My opinion: The top dude sucks up to our green friends so he won't do squat.
