As someone that's climbed through many a t top to get in and out of a car on a trailer ill tell you right now it gets old. My next trailer purchase will hopefully be a bit better thought out. No way I'd buy a single axle trailer if i was planning on towing a car with it, even if it is a miata.
They don't have doors, so the side rails are fine. I can see wanting to go with single axle to keep everything light if towing with something underpowered, but yeah, I saw a single axle boat lose a tire once and it was pretty ugly for what should have been a simple flat.

Do those single axle trailers typically come with brakes? Never been in the market so i donno. The dual axle trailers typically only come with brakes on a single axle which is why I'm asking.

Duuuude, sounds like a super deal. I like the closed center for moving other stuff, but I'd overlook it for half price. Are you eager to sell? Don't think I'll be ready until September.
