$29 Amazon scope.
I used it to un-stick the fuel tank roll-over valve on my van (now the gas pump doesn't click off every 5 seconds.)
I could throw it away right now and be ahead of the game. :laughing

Major Dissapoint I was hoping for a do DIY colonoscopy.

Thought it might be nice to have a better set of binoculars than the cheap ones kicking around in my truck that I used last week for the first time in years.
Couldn't decide if I wanted 8x42 or 10x42 so bought both. These are still inexpensive sets but a step up from that $50 ones work handed out for free many years ago. Now it's got me wondering how much better do they get at the $500-700 range or $1000+

My Craftsman Low Profile Aluminum jack finally kicked the bucket and I was a little emotional. It was the first tool I bought myself when I got my first job/paycheck was I was 18 back in 2006. The handle just spins and don't lock anymore, I'll probably tinker with it to see if it's just a gear that needs replacing. 20 years is a good run but I can't justify throwing it in the garbage.

Picked up this Daytona Professional Aluminum jack and I'm not impressed. :( Don't pump up as quickly as the Craftsman did and the engagement (twisting motion) is hyper sensitive, I gave it a slight twist and accidently dropped the car super fast (luckily it was a crv).

Painters cap, pit cap, stokers cap, thin white cotton, with an adjuster to tighten its grip of your noggin'
It has a 2 1/4 brim a bit longer than usual for looks, but that extra shade works for me.
and, the Look, I miss the ol' Bell Helmets, version, this brings it all back for me.
Sportin' around town, , ,
+ colors, too.
Barf patch ?

I dunno, especially at 8x42. But if I'm dropping that much on a pair of binoculars, I'm gonna get a stabilized pair. Friend has a pair, and they are really nice.

The $1K+ sets would definitely be better built with smoother focus, sharper glass, higher contrast, less chromatic aberration. Not sure how noticeable all that would be to me.

Don't really need stabilization for 8 or 10 power unless looking at something for extended stretches. I'm a Nikon fanboy but the Nikon stabilized binoculars are either 10x25 or 12x25. Almost less than half the light gathering power of 10x42 so not good in low light situations.

Other brands such as Canon with larger objective lenses therefore better low light performance are getting close to $2K in price and somewhat bulky

I'd like to at least take a look through something like the Nikon Monarch HG 10x42 just to see what that extra $800 gets you. The online forums claim it's quite noticeable but none of the shops near me have them in stock so guess I'll never know.

decent. I have a Swarovski 8 x 32 set that I would like to sell. Where are you? We could work out try before you buy if you are interested.

Just looked those up and wow they're pricy. Have to be a supreme optics.

Thing is I'm just curious as to what the expensive glass can offer but I suspect the P7's I bought will be satisfactory for my needs.
I'm nowhere near you but if I was I would check them out, and have been known to make impulse buys so probably best that I'm not close.

Might consider a monoscope for general "what's that over there?" duties.
I've got a 8x23 pair of Nikon binocs right there, but they have covers on the eyepieces that need to be removed.

I usually grab the cheap palm size straight through 8x21 monoc to have a gander at random things.
It can comfortably live on the windowsill and I don't care if it falls off or rattles in the glove box for the most part.

Have a 20-60x Tamron spotting scope too, but that lives on a tripod that I have to pull out of the corner and position.

Don’t wear glasses so can’t help but did try using these Nikons with sunglasses and it seemed doable. Only tried it briefly though so can’t make any solid conclusions.

I bought one of those jacks a few months ago because I needed 2 jacks for a job. The amount of flex it had scared the shit out of me! So I returned it and got one of these instead. It's definitely better, and really easy to move around... but I still trust my 30+ year old floor jack more.
