Ok so I didn't need to get up this early, but, I should leave soon as I still need to put gas in the car, and the only diesel pump I am familiar with isn't on route.

i haven't had homemade yogurt in like 20 years. my sisters in law made it and it is heavenly.
 
UPS seasonal workers don't get Friday off. But I'm also already done, there wasn't a lot to do today and the guy who hired me doesn't want me to do his job. I should probably talk to our mutual manager about finding me something to do, but I get a feeling I'm being thrown a bone and don't wanna get anyone in trouble.

UPS makes sense. Keep the mail moving.

I suppose I was thinking more in my circle of me and other colleagues as consultants. Except for maybe once or twice, I don't remember in at least the last 10 years the last time a client asked for a deliverable the day before or after a major holiday, especially not on a Friday before the weekend. They're not gonna look at it 'til next Monday or Tuesday anyway. If it's incredibly time sensitive, then sure. Happens. So I usually PTO Wednesday before Thanksgiving and have Friday off anyway. Five days off and only burning one day of PTO is a good deal.

I quickly checked some of the user sensors in your area, indeed it was like 37 F at 6:30 near you (but there aren't that many sensors veeeery close to you) and 47 at 10:30 am . yeah, that's coldish

I then checked a sensor closer to me, it is still warmer albeit by 7 F... minimum 44 deg F
 
Moved my car for street sweeping, got coffee and realized there is likely no street sweeping today because of the holiday yesterday. Better safe than 85 dollar ticket though.
 
better double-check on that, but yeah in my memory, no street sweeping, but yes metered stalks on some holidays, people do get caught on that one , sadly
