I felt the disturbance in force but didn't actually feel anything if that makes sense.

Looked around for a reason why and then got the notice about the quake.

Also have EOD setting off explosives at the Air Base today which have been unannounced. Considering I can hear Reveille and Taps every day, I was surprised to not hear any kind of warning alarm.

They're big window rattling booms that scared 2 cats inside.

I'm sure you have plenty going on, but do you happen to have a pic of the console and maybe underneath the floor?
I did get a few shots. First, the console:

We refer to this one as a cash register, as the stop controls are these buttons in the top panel that toggle on and off. Kind of an unusual setup, but was part of the original design that they have wanted to preserve.

Next, the control unit under the auditorium floor that raises or lowers the floor. The entire floor is braced with a steel lattice underneath that raises or lowers in the front, while hinging in the back:

Next to this is the pump that runs the water hydraulic system:

Here are the hydraulic rams that move the floor up and down:

And finally, the steel framework that supports the floor:

Thanks Andy, super cool! Such a small hpu for those rams. That foundation is srs bsns!

Strictly music pipes or are there some weirdo theatre sound effect doohickeys as well?

This is a theater organ, so it does have a few sound effects like bells and the such-like. No cymbals or drums however. It also has a midi interface, so it could drive all kinds of sound modules if they want. They never do, however. That same facility allows the organ to record a performance and play it back, but I don't think they do that either.

If you’re talking about the photo I think you are, it’s one of two hydraulic rams that raise and lower the auditorium floor. And yes, that’s grease.

That's some serious machinery! the two random chairs and a bench under the foundation are also funny.

Upside about last night was seeing friends / former coworkers for dinner. Downside was not getting to bed until almost midnight. 3am alarm came pretty early today. Didn't have anything to drink with dinner though and I'm pretty happy with that decision this morning.
