Wife and I were attending a George Winston (RIP) evening here in Chico. Was summer, so I, and the guy next to my wife, had on shorts.
She was pointing out that the guy had the same cargo style. I added they were the same size. She did a double-take and saw why I knew.

The long, translucent sticker that proclaimed, 36 36 36 36..., down the thigh.

We didn't alert him of his faux pas. There should be a code similar to, "Your barn door's open."

"Tag you're it.", might suffice?
 
Lots of fog today. Blanketing the whole city. Can't see this Franciscaner hamlet even from Treasure Island ...

... apparently SFGate says it's the whole B.A. that's under fog.
 
I have coffee too. Second one for the day. This one is pour over, bought from T J s. It tastes nice. Perhaps hazelnuts taste?

I have a new temp guy here. He is not going to be hired permanently, he's just here for a few weeks.
Here's the scenario: I tell him the hours are 7:30 to 3:00, and he shows up the first day at 7:00 goes into the bathroom to drop a deuce, and then goes back out to his car to wait until about 7:20 7:25.
Second day he shows up at about 7:10, goes in the bathroom to drop a deuce, and goes back out to the car for 10 minutes or so.
Today was the third day in a row for the early morning bathroom dump.


Am I completely out of line to be somewhat taken aback by this?
 
I guess it's nice that he's not pooping first thing on company time, but unless you guys are like amazon where people get in trouble for punching in a little early, it's weird that he goes back to his car.

If someone was wondering, why didn't I just get that HF jack we talked about three-days ago--it's because I read its specs-- I needed it to lift higher (like my old one in the picture, it actually lifts higher than the $89-99 Harbor Freight) ... so I still need to choose a different model.

I wouldn't say "going back to the car" is the best-thing-ever, in fact I'm quite weirded out by people men who sit in cars or women who apply makeup talk on the phone or just slurp on a Stanley in a car....

.... but seriously, you guys have never seen people go in cars on a "work break"? All that's happening is theyre watching tiktok / playing Straightedge-hardcore on the phone (like my coworker did last month.)

I mean, at least he's not pooping on company time, but, I dunno man, I've never been a big fan of that sort of thing at work if it can be avoided. As for the waiting in his car, any problem with him getting started early? I know at UPS I'm not getting paid for anything I do before 4:30 and it doesn't change when I leave so I tend to time things so I'm there around 5 - 10 minutes before I start, but also, if I'm early I hang around the break area and finish my coffee before I get to it.

A little weird, but if he's on time for work and putting in the hours then :dunno

I always get to work early so I can shit in peace and chill before the day starts :laughing
 
I had a tech that did that every morning for 18 years. He was, by far, the best employee I ever had... and the best mechanic I've ever known (dude could fix anything!)

Is he driving in from a distance? I usually poop in the morning and having had coffee, often have to do it again when I get to work.

Does he look like a schleprock? He might be one of those guys who doesn't get up early enough. Just jumps right from his bed into his car.

Local guy, doesn't seem like a shleprock.
I don't want anyone to start before 7:30 because then I lose them before 3. I also chose their start time so I could have prep time before anyone shows up...and because I have fifteen years of working alone and I don't want to deal with someone new first thing every morning.
I agree with him being on time/early as opposed to habitually late, and for not pooping on the company dime.

I'll be honest when it happened on his first day before he even clocked in it seemed like a power move. :laughing

He's commendably regular which is healthy for him but it'd be the bee's knees if he could bump it up a half hour or so. Leave that shit at home.
Literally.
