luckily that gives you purpose in life. car moving always feels so sweet when you get the spot :laughing

--

the other day I rolled down a familiar hill with my bikey. I actually felt some vibration in the frame/wheels while rolling ... that wasn't there before. I think when it went past 15 mph to 20???

Can't figure it out what it is. Disks seem not rubbing too much. I will spin the wheels... what could it be? I'll try to recenter the front caliper ....

Getting ready to take my elderly parents out to lunch to discuss changes that need to be made to their will and trust, and what to do with my freeloading brother in the event of their passing. This'll be fun 😬

GUESS WHO CAN HEAR OUT OF THEIR LEFT EAR AGAIN!!!!???

THIS GUY

A friend of mine that's a doctor recommended over the counter ear drops which I got from CVS but she said if it's a simple ear infection, it should clear up in a few days either way.

Perfect timing... Friday. The landscaping crew are here with their loud ass leaf blowers and weed whackers doing a whole lot of nothing. I kinda wish my ear was still plugged.

At least I feel comfortable riding my bike. I figured if my equilibrium is so compromised that I slipped walking up the stairs and spilled my water bottle, I probably should not be riding a motorcycle.

Disks shouldn't cause any viibration unless they are warped. They can warp from heat if you drag them, they don't have the surface area to handle heat like a car or motorcycle so it is pretty easy to cook them. Also check if you wheels are out of round, or if a tire isn't properly seated on the rim

Yes. Fun. We have one failed to launch brother who we'll collectively have to handle assuming he is not out and getting social services assistance before my folks pass. We have time, but, they're not really willing to do the tough love part.

Losing one of your senses sucks. Last time was my eyesight. I was training with a neighbor that's been into karate as long as I have. 20+ years. He made his garage into a gym. Mats, heavy bag, weights, full nine. I was getting tired and he hit me with a solid punch that knocked both of the contacts out of my eyes. He apologized but I just smiled and said it was a solid shot, I'm fine. I just can't see because my vision is so terrible, without contacts or glasses, I'm blind as a bat. :laughing So, I pretty much wandered around my home like a blind person and just listened to TV/movies until my new glasses were delivered.

Weird tangent... I want to get lasic surgery but my optometrist wants my eyes to stop changing year to year before I do. I don't have to listen to her and can just do it but I've had contacts and glasses since the 2nd grade. I can wait a little longer. Also the last two girls I dated shortly thought my glasses were attractive, so there's that too.

As a kid, my parents knew if I was going to be a nerd, which I am and always have been, learning how to protect yourself from bullies might be a good idea. Back in the time when being a nerd was not cool (which apparently it is now...) But I had to deal with being bullied for it.

Sorry, I'll stop my trip down memory lane.

I'm gonna go cook lunch.

My parents just put me into sports I sucked at / didn't care about. I probably could have done with learning how to fight instead. Luckily, most of the time my size puts people off these days, little do they know I'm a sucker :laughing

I should cook lunch as well, then probably doing nothing the rest of the day unless I'm inspired to do brakes on the Hyper or something.

Sucking at sports is not a bad thing. I tried pretty much tried every sport available. If you try your best, that's the only thing that matters. None of them really stuck. Martial arts was just the one that stuck with me. In my life, I've learned that most martial artists, including professional fighters, are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Because they know there is always someone better than you. Learn from them. And also macho attitude is pointless. Diffusing any incident where no one gets hurt is the best way. But... if that doesn't work, at least you're prepared to handle it.

As Mr. Miyagi said, "Best defense... don't be there."

You seem to have an affinity for Japanese culture.

If you cook consider a Miyabi knife.

I was in Austin visiting my nephew and niece and got her this one.

I went out to pickup my food order (instead of using doordash), and I saw this...

and then I had something small, black and on a scooter fly from my left approaching a four-way stop... and it was a delivery driver, who wasn't stopping... : :x ... kinda getting tired of this, esp when I have the right of way on the right-hand-side...

Yeah it's probably the tire. It's "rubbed out". I remember doing a rear brake skid on a strange top of a hill recently.. and was surprised to see the tire rubbed off only on one side!!!! Sideways braking!! 🙀

See how it's slanted? There's even a cupped lip. on the right edge
