So, my new job uses a program called RemotePC to connect to servers and project files.
I don't really like it so far but I'll get used to it. I'm used to just signing into the company VPN. I think there's a setting I need to change I haven't found yet because this program puts my screen on a 4:3 aspect ratio instead of 16:9. There has to be an easy answer to correct that. If I can't, I'll probably be doing the majority of my work off my personal laptop and move files to the project folders as needed.
Also, this laptop has one of these finger pads that doesn't have left/right mouse buttons. I hate it. Luckily I have a wireless keyboard I use for damn near everything from work, to gaming, to movies/TV shows so that problem is solved.
It's been kinda weird starting a new job where the majority of coworkers are also working from home. I remember when I started working from home back in 2020 because Covid, I was lucky because my main project was a well oiled machine and the only person I needed to talk to week to week was my client and our contact was either email or phone so working from home pretty much changed nothing except the fact that my weekly deliverable was on Friday so if it was middle of the day Tuesday and I wanted to play video games, I could do that as long as I made up the time and delivered my work and stuck to my deadlines and always answered my phone.
