I don't have a fake Christmas 🎄 because appartenly you need to put it somewhere for 11 months.

But I am thinking I hate the whole going to the store to get a tree situation. And why are there often disbalanced/assymetric trees. Ugh.. problems huh?!?

If I had my way I'd put up a three foot tree to be honest.

The only downside is that we have cats and likely they'd knock the damned thing over.

They don't mess with the larger tree.

But the ornaments aren't on yet so there's that.

putting the separate band of LEDs on the regular live tree is actually a festive moment of its own in our case

Also: it feels like they’re doing forum maintenance or emergency fixings this morning

We've always had a big xmas tree. My wife has many special (to her) ornaments. She keeps saying "Oh, it will be fine." I keep saying "No... No it really, definitely, for sure won't be fine!" :laughing

We used to have a tree lot open up across the street which was good motivation to get a tree. Now they do it somewhere else and since is shouldn't really spend the $$$ anyway that's a good enough excuse to not bother. Or at least it was last year

We did the old go out and cut down a tree thing for decades.

That was enough.

I was supposed to be at Kaiser right getting my wrist cut open and fixed.

They called me yesterday at 3 to tell me the surgeon was sick and they don't know when I'll be rescheduled.

Say la vee.

Lame. Did you tell them you require 24 hours notice for cancellation?

When did we go from putting a few lights up and a wreath on the door to filling the entire front yard with gigantic blow up figures?
well I mean that's peanuts money for people with big houses and many cars in extraubrubs... no?

but yeah, "since when", well since the "cars" got bigger, e.g. Toyota Grand Highlander and people have more money for trinkets...?
