Nah. About inaction. Actually can't leave the house. Didn't get a burrito. Can't get myself to look at the postings.

BTW I've heard some positions are prepackaged for an internal person. (I certainly didn't get an interview for an Information Systems Analyst)
 
Most currently posted jobs aren't intended to be filled, and the ones that are have to sort through hundreds of applicants. I'm not holding out much hope, but I gotta find a way to cover my expenses eventually, or I gotta leave the bay.
 
Oh and the city takes forever to hire. I job I interviewed with this summer still shows as pending and this assessment was taken weeks ago.

I get that. This ain't my first rodeo. I like to think I keep my morality in check as much as is humanly possible. This is a different situation than I've ever dealt with.

It seemed like she was seeing just how much of an assclown my brother can be and it clearly was not the first time, which is not surprising.

His last girlfriend, after they broke up, she stayed in his life as friends because she really loved hanging out with my niece and nephew and even then, at some point she decided this isn't worth it because all of his bullshit.

I've always said my brother has a "superpower" of getting women to like him on first contact. It's something I don't have. All of my relationships, well at least the good ones, were a slow burn. Once I realized this as a teen, I often use the line that "You may not like me right now but I'll grow on you, like a fungus." Well, there were women that took a liking to me as soon as I met them but my little sister puts those women in a category she calls "Strange girls in dark places."

On a tangent of what I've already been talking about, I'm remembering a lot, I'm thinking every single time I've been around any girl he's dated, he's always talking to someone else and the girls/women are more interested talking to me. I'm not trying to suggest anything here but it's a pattern, yesterday just gave me another example. This includes the mother of my niece and nephew.

The only exception is a girl in high school who trained at the same small karate dojo since we were kids that only had maybe 15 students at best back in '94 or '95., I didn't know they were dating. Never came up because like... we were too busy punching and kicking each other.

I just spent some Quality time with my resident OBD, 11, dongle.

I was looking for the actual values recorded in the car for the miles on the engine. Found them, then forgot the measuring block number :facepalm I think i twas 85 in the Engine.

then went to the transmission... apparently found the block that tells you which gear the two clutches have selected!!!! (was around 20)

p.s. all of that was b/c Folks,Wizard, found a mileage-decreasing device on his car... (but he's in the UK so maybe the device is more popular there)
