Not sure what that means... but okay.
I think he meant if you barely drink it is OK.

The answer is probably not if you are using it a lot.
I use it when I got on multiple day rides but that is about it.

Now that my alcohol consumption is near zero I figure those weekends will be my liver killers :laughing

Ibuprofen (Best to read the warning info on the label)
  • Kidneys (Higher Risk): Ibuprofen reduces blood flow to the kidneys, which can cause acute kidney injury or worsen chronic kidney disease. It is best to avoid it if you have pre-existing kidney issues.
  • Liver (Lower Risk): While rare, liver injury can occur, especially with high doses. People with liver disease should consult a doctor before using it.
  • Safe Usage: To protect your organs, always use the lowest effective dose for the shortest time. The maximum over-the-counter daily limit is \(1,200\text{ mg}\).
  • Risk Factors: The risk of damage is significantly higher for those over 60, those with high blood pressure, diabetes, or existing kidney disease.

Adding this: Disclaimer, not a doctor. Probably best to consult with your Doctor!

Yeah I'm not answering that beyond what budman said. The theory is the more things you put in the liver at the same time, the harder it is on it to filter through

The long-term use is the problem, imo. My doctor's have had no problem recommending I take it multiple times a day indefinitely... I won't do that.
And since, as an anti-inflammatory, it really does nothing for nerve pain, why take it at all?
If I have an injury or surgery that caused swelling, I'll take it until the swelling goes down.

I don't take any otc pain relievers because I've never felt like they've helped with my pain, at all.
Now, if they're giving out injections of dilaudid... I'll be the first in line! :drool

DUDE. That stuff was my BFF pre-surgery. I will commend SFGH for not fucking around with the pain management for the most part.

Never take Rx advice from me or Keith Moon! My latest "having a bad night" treatment is a high dose (×2 or 3) of Klonopin w/ a shot of vodka... I'm still in pain, but I don't give a fuck. :laughing
