Are the cats eating those?
My cat caught a couple of mice over the past year and fortunately I caught her with them before eating them. I’m not sure she would have eaten them but there are bait traps around the building so I don’t want her eating a poisoned rodent, or even if not poisoned.

My wallet is $1k lighter after a vet visit last night. Peke suffered a wound to her hind quarter from what appears to be a fight, resulting in an infected absess that needed to be drained. Now she'll gets to wear the cone of shame for a week.

Aww...poor scrapper! I've been there numerous times with a few of my fighty felines. There are soft cones available that are much more comfortable while still getting the job done. Also, there are little "donut pillow" collars that might work, too. They look like those travel pillows you see people using on airplanes. When Apollo broke his hip I turned the cone around so that the "bell" was around his shoulders and not his head. It still worked as intended, as it would not let him bend far enough to get to his stitches, while not freaking him out so much. Might be worth a try. Get well soon, Peke!

Those are some great-looking cats! Really nice markings. What are their names?
The little white one is Biscuits, she appeared as a tiny kitten in our front yard last September.
The grey one is Grumps. As a kitten, he snuck into the basement and into one of the walls of our downstairs apartment in late 2020. The tenant told me about it and I didn’t believe him till I saw and heard for myself. I had to use a trap to get him out and domesticate him.
The tuxo is Loki, who we adopted from a shelter in early 2020.
The orangino is Jack, who I lured out of the bushes at the Treatment Plant in the Fremont hills back in 2018 with a slice of lunch meat.
