Finally did Daisy's DNA test. My in laws gave us an Ancestry DNA test that they had around the house.
She turned out to be according to the DNA test:
43% Siberian Husky
13% American Foxhound
12% Dalmatian
9% Chow Chow
9% German Shepherd
7% Argentine Pila
7% Rottweiler
Very surprising results.

We're planning on doing an Embark DNA test to see how different or similar they are.

I would have pegged Daisy for being mostly shepherd. Gorgeous girl! Her brindle buddy is equally stunning.

Speaking of boarders, we had Tuna the Turkish rescue for maybe six months when we had a trip to Iceland scheduled. We decided to board him at an acquaintance's house, where she runs a small boarding business.

My intuition told me there was a real risk this would traumatize the dog. Up until that point in his life, every trip he had made in a vehicle was one way; he never returned to the point of origin. I didn't know whether that would have registered with him as a pattern, but we had all really bonded with each other by that time.

He ended up with such severe diarrhea that we ended up having to replace the lady's carpet.

^^^ Amazing training. I was waiting to see @Enchanter's face in that video.

Still, I'd trade all of that for when Remi comes over and lays down next to me when I'm not feeling good.

 Good thing you didn't name your pup "Dick." Love the shirt (y)

Jax got to hang out at the BnB Ranch with his cousins last weekend.

Jax and Odin on sentry duty keeping an eye out for Rabbits, Toads, Coyote's and cows.

As the sun was setting the Coyote's began their nightly call and response routine. Jax was tripping out.

We cut down a few trees and Jax went right in to this rotted stump looking for goodies

There was lots of chill time too with old man Nigel the grand daddy of the pack.

I don't have a pic yet, but please share some love for my baby boy. He just went through spinal surgery for a ruptured disc, then a day or so later, decided to bite off a section of his tail leading to another surgery for tail amputation.
