Riley. He was my first Chocolate. He was an absolute nut when it came to retreiving. At his peak, he was about 110#

This is his brother from another mother, Kimo. The spring is wound a little tight on this one. Same place as above (a few years apart), same love for retrieving but for as chill as Riley was, Kimo is exactly opposite and about 75# :)

I just had to laugh when I saw Kimo. He looks so happy.

Both of them loved to retrieve. Kimo is generally pretty happy--he has friends at various drive through places. Riley was pretty happy too. I think mostly any time they play, they're happy campers.

Riley and Kimo are stunning, I wish our dogs could all live forever.
My little baby girl Joy. She just turned 2

Thank you. Kimo is a Dustin's Retrievers and Riley, a place called Cold Water Labs.
Kimo will be four in July. Riley was just 11. I do wish we got more time though I definitely feel like it's a blessing to have the time we do.

Eh, not so much. Zora will choose me over the wife and kid in every event.
interesting. she looks so sweet here and i thought kiddo was her boo. she wants to be enchanted instead. lol.

So when kiddo goes off to university Zora will still have HER person. I was actually wondering about that since the Malis and GSDs may fit with the family but are one person doggos.

Zora IS very tender and snugly with the kid. She’s rather matter of fact with the wife, sort of ‘don’t bother me, I’m working here!’. With me she plays rough and aggressive.

She claimed me early…

That’s really neat.

Most of our dogs have been retrievers who loved everybody. Tuna is a mix of shepherd and sighthound, definitely more of a one person dog. He likes everyone in our family, but each relationship has distinct features. I’m his #1, probably due to the sheer amount of time we got together when we first got him.
