Pride, K1, UFC match d/l?

K1 holds tournaments all over the globe. The US has K1 elimination events in Vegas to select the chosen combatant to fight the other world winners in the Final in Japan. I missed the one that just happened, did Ray win or McDonald again?

Pride Fighting Championship is in Japan only far as I know.

No Pride has not let any of their premier fighters fight in UFC.

On another note Wanderlei Silva (Pride Lightweight Champ) got into the octagon with Randy Couture last night at UFC 49.
Randy suggested they unify the lightweight belts. Wanderlei said anytime.
 
I think Couture would lose that fight if it was fought in the Pride ring. He utilizes the octagon's fencing to his advantage and wins everytime. Plus, the Axe Murderer is one tough savage.
 
it's been "personal" between Thailand and Japan for a long time now :toothless was that John Wayne Parr in the beginning getting worked? K1 is the ultimate challenge for stand up fighting.

Ray Sefo is great guy and awesome fighter. I see him all the time in Vegas for years now. Mr. GQ :laughing He made Pride history with his slugfest of a match with Mark Hunt. it was an EPIC battle. funny thing is I was in Japan and guess what? It was on TV for FREE! I couldn't believe it. Fighting sports in Japan is like football in the US. Huge.

those guys need to fight again. I only remember their first fight, vitor was like 19? at the bell he crossed the ring and pummeled silva with fists till he dropped to the fence, and continued punching till the ref stopped it quickly. silva was like wtf!?!! give me a chance I ain't hurt just backing up!

After Belfort and Randy fought, Silva got into the cage., and Randy respectfully called out Silva, to unify the pride and ufc lhw belts. Both are interested, but its up to ufc and pride now.


i'd love to see this fight go down. i'd think it end up being decided on where its fougt. I'd put money on couture if they fight in a cage, cuz he uses the fences so well. I'd go with silva if they were in a ring....

I think Frank is retired at this point. He went out at the top (standing ovation), one of the most electrifying middleweights in MMA of his time. I got to see his last fight in Vegas against Shannon. Frank broke his arm with a high kick like 30 seconds into the fight. Man, Shamrock vs. Silva, I wouldn't miss that for anything.
 
really? that sucks. i only saw a couple fights of frank. :| i got to finally see UFC 1-10. it's strange to see how it's evolved into what it is today. no 1 other than royce and shamrock seemed to have any clue.

I saw the Frank vs. Tito fight in Vegas in person and as much big of a fan I am for Frank,,, It was sad to see Tito work & disect him piece by piece. I think it would be the same case if he fought Silva.

dang they had a rematch? I was way out of it by then I just remember their first encounter when Tito tapped out. Frank was on pure reaction mode once he finally got back on his feet. Till then he was doing a super job from the bottom. Tito is one big mofo. his little sidekick cracks me up though. :p
 
As far as I know Tito and Frank only fought once.
Tito was giving Frank a hard time the entire match.
Then Tito gassed and Frank won.
Since then Tito vowed never to get gassed again which he has upheld.
 
that's the one I have on video. I think he's thinking of the fight with big brother KEN Shamrock. I was there for that one, pics posted on barf. wait, someone didn't like seeing Ken's mashed face so had to pull it.
