Pride, K1, UFC match d/l?

UFC 50 seemed kinda short. i was expecting more from the ortiz fight. seemed too short. hughes fight was cool.

This is gonna be bad ass:

Jackson is a monster in the ring. He slams most of his opponents. He only had one loss, and that was against Silva at Pride GP. People argue that he was exhausted after his 2nd fight of the night and that Silva was the more fresh fighter.

Silva vs Jackson was a very good fight... kinda brutal too.

check out the blood on silva's knee, and the blood pouring out of jacksons head when they pull him up.

just watched it. so what happened w/ the crocop and the henderson fight? seems to be the same type of injury?

good fight btwn. silva/jackson. so is there anyone who is in silva's league at this point?

In the Henderson fight, Nakamura seperated his shoulder. In the Crocop fight, Barnett either seperated his shoulder or broke his collerbone. Both fight were a bust but thats the way it goes.

I think the other brazilian, Ricardo Arona, would make an awesome fight for Silva. When Arona fought Jackson, he was pretty much dominating that fight and I think he would've won if Jackson hadn't delivered that powerbomb from hell. That was his only loss. If not, Silva could always come over here to fight Corture. There's been talk about that, but I really doubt the UFC or even Pride would want their champions beat by the other organization.

didn't silva fight in UFC before?
In the Henderson fight, Nakamura seperated his shoulder. In the Crocop fight, Barnett either seperated his shoulder or broke his collerbone.
ya, i was wondering how either happened....

the silva vs. hunt fight. hunt def. has some power punches. looked like silva was almost knocked out a coupla times. when silva's going for the submission/tapout, you know he's outgunned in the standup....i like the hunt buttstomp too :laughing i think silva did more to end the fight though. more submission attempts.

the crocop vs. randleman fight was kindova let down. randleman really needs to work on his submission escapes. a simple choke out should have been easily avoided but i'm just another arm chair wannabe.

the fedor vs. nogueira was awesome. pullin' a sakuraba, w/ the feints and the jump stomps. guess even a championship only brings a small grin for fedor. his SO is kinda cute :p

the henderson vs. kondo fight, i thought kondo won for landing more strikes. but i guess henderson had the takedowns. kondo seemed to do slightly more getting the mount but neither could really do much w/ it.

Supposedly the story going around is that Henderson was Very sick the night before and during the day of the fight and almost pulled out of the fight.
They are thinking he got food poisoning but won’t know until he gets back home.
He really didn’t look to be his normal fighting self.
Really no excuse and I also thought Kondo won the fight but Hendo is loved very much in Japan.

There are also some arguments going on about time keeping. Again supposedly they stopped the first round
about 13 seconds early for Hendo (Henderson vs Kondo and extended a round for Yoshida (Yoshida vs Rulon) by about 30seconds.
You can hear Randy Couture yelling about the time from outside the ring during the fight.

I thought Wanderlei should've won the fight considering the weight difference and the fact that Hunt received a yellow card for no action. It was close, but oh well.

And yeah, the crocrop/randleman fight was weak. I was looking for that haymaker roundhouse to end the fight.

can't wait for couture vs. liddell in april. and the ortiz vs liddell + ken shamrock 1 vs. 2 triple bout :laughing

good fight btwn. ortiz and belfort :thumbup belfort probably could have won if he had the endurance and kept it standing.

who does tito think he is talkin' all that smack? immean yeah, he could talk all the smack he wants about shamrock because he kicked his ass, but they did end things like good sportsman. Tito just had to stir up the pot again by thinking he was the shiznits after comming off a losing streak. i can't wait until the iceman breaks him off again.
