PSA - if ordering from online stores do not let them ship it via OnTrac

The last time I bought something and it was shipped with On-Trac the delivery driver tossed it onto my porch like a frisbee... Personally I don't like my electronics being thrown at all. My buddy ordered something and it was shipped with On-Trac, they said it was delivered and it didn't show up for almost a week after it was "delivered" even after multiple calls to both the seller and On-Trac. ~shrugs~ I am not a fan myself but to each his own... I will say that their CS rep was pretty on top of the whole situation though...

I'm a little curious to hear if the OP ever actually had a problem receiving their package? All they did was write about what they found on the web reviews. Or did I read the post wrong.

I've had UPS deliver to the wrong address.

I've had FEDEX lose the package and another time show as delivered but I never received it.

On-Track hasn't lost any of my stuff, but I don't think I've got much from them.

My point is that large shipping companies all lose things sometimes or deliver them to the wrong location. It happens. I'm sure you can find a ton of bad reviews of UPS if you look for them.

So - Did the OP ever receive his stuff? Was there a problem?

I get stuff from ontrac all the time and never had an issue. Out of all the carriers that deliver stuff to my place, UPS is probably the one that makes the most mistakes. Even then it's few and far between.

That's what happens when you don't support the local little guys :) Just Saying

I get deliveries from them many times a week and have never had a problem at all. Fed Ex and UPS have lost or destroyed countless packages coming to us. Hell, Fed Ex has delivered us empty boxes with holes in them that the items obviously fell out of.

Homie prefers the taste of the On Trac crew.

I live about a half a block from their Santa Maria hub, I get my shit first thing in the morning, no strikes yet.

I have to admit, UPS seems to have dropped in quality the last couple years. Their shipping times have gone up, and I never used to get partially crushed boxes from them. These days, UPS seems to manage to damage about 1 in 4 boxes that arrive at my gate. Fortunately, so far, nothing inside has been damaged.

I recently ordered some Mich Pilot Road 3 from the above website who chose to ship it via a company called "OnTrac" having never heard of them before I google searched them and suddenly had a sick feeling in my stomach when I saw their 1.5/5 stars google rating. In different places on the web they had numerous (20+) reviews consisting of drivers stealing the package, the items trackIng showing delivered but it never was and never ended up coming, delivery to wrong addresses, items thrown over gates, fences, left on the driveway or anywhere in the front yard or property, horrible customer service when calling to report problems or missing packages and being told tough ouch and to contact the store to have them reshop.the list goes on. If any store you purchase from uses this shipping company I would highly reccomend that you call and ask them to ship using a different shipper, given the chance I would and I would even be willing to pay extra for peace of mind knowing that my package was shipped with a reputable company.

Companies which are known to use this shipper, to my knowledge, feel free to add on:
Amazon (uses for free super saver shipping)
Motorcycle-superstore

Stop it.

My driver ( known him for ten years or so) says internet purchase has pushed up deliveries this year and last year to record levels and he's working more hours than ever.

Sorry I know this replay is not about shipping, I realize the economy has people searching for that perfect deal, I do the same only after I cannot get what I need from my Local Mom and Pop. For instance, I wont go to Target to get what I can buy at amazon for $10 less. But my experience with having to return busted stuff, or deal with the wrong item really enforces my opinion on not buying from big guys. I mean including myself, there are so many SUPPORTERS/retailers here on this site willing to give the best deal they can and we cant because we are last to be tried, Buy from Local Keep it Local.

Sorry I just felt i needed to say it.

Got my q2s from motorcycle superstore via ontrac. They were on time and on my ride in no time.

Never really had a problem with OnTrac.

Actually, I've had more problems with UPS, now that I think about it. But, they've also delivered a lot more stuff to me. :dunno

Stuff happens. *shrug*

I've had 2 problems receiving shipments from OnTrac over the years and cringe when I see something I bought is being shipped from them. They are fast if there aren't any problems. I think my problems had more to do with the delivery guy that delivered in my neighborhood.

I recently had a tire from Motorcycle-Superstore delivered via OnTrac. It was the first I had even heard of that company, actually. I didn't experience any problems.

Good luck with ontrac here. They just ship me model kits but still.

my on trac area guys have used big white panel vans with big OnTrac signs but our fedex guy has been using a hertz rental moving van.
